Bragaboutit Charters invites you to a fine day of fishing in Newport, Rhode Island, inshore as well as offshore. Come aboard Captain Chad Braga’s comfy boat fitted with everything you need for an enjoyable and successful fishing trip and have fun chasing various prized fish that reside in the area’s productive waters. Pick your day and join Captain Chad on a lovely fishing adventure you’ll remember for a long time!

You’ll fish from his 26’ bluewater center console powered by a 300 hp Suzuki engine. It sits up to 5 anglers w/ an ice-boxs to store your catch and drinks, and a multimedia system. The boat’s equipped with outriggers, downriggers, a livewell, and uses all the modern GPS, fishfinder, radio, as well as radar navigation technology.

The species you can target are Bluefin Tuna, Thresher and Mako Shark, Striped Bass, and Flounder. The wide choice of fishing techniques you can use includes bottom fishing, deep sea fishing, trolling, spinning, jigging, popping, and drift fishing, all using light and heavy tackle. You can choose if you’ll keep your catch or release it and you’re free to bring kids on your trip.

You’re covered for all the tackle, bait, licenses, as well as fish cleaning and filleting. Simply bring your favorite snacks and drinks and you’ll be set to go on your fishing journey.

Embark on this 8-hour sea adventure and chase fish and enjoy the water even longer. You and the captain will depart at 6:00 a.m. and target any of the prized species that roam the productive waters around Newport. The only things you should bring with you are your food and drinks.

Full Day Trip

Blackfish, also known locally as tautog, are hard fighting and excellent tasting bottom feeding fish. These fish are resident fish that spend the winter offshore in deep water, returning inshore from spring to late fall. Newport Rhode Island has some of the best fishing on the east coast. Fall months gives anglers the best opportunity to catch legal and trophy blackfish
