When it’s time for a bit of relaxation in nature, Chromeseekers is here for you. Join Captain Dan and Keygan on a fishing trip in the Betsie River, near Frankfort, MI. Few things are more enjoyable than a few hours in these serene waters. Leave everyday life behind and step into a new world!

Your trip takes place aboard a 15’ Stealthcraft drift boat or Keygans 16 stealthcraft power drifter. .

Salmon starts entering the river in mid to late August and ends around mid-October. On the Betsie where the captain fishes, the peak season is usually between Sep 1 and Oct 7. At Tippy on the Big Man, it’s best between Sep 10 and Oct 10. Fishing is not always based on the calendar and runs can happen anytime between August and October. If the fishing is poor on the river you chose, the captain will make suggestions to fish the other river.

Steelhead starts up the rivers in October and lasts until May. The peak times are from mid-October to November as well as March and April. Due ro freezing conditions, we will not run any trips under 30 deg through fishbooker.

Any trip Captain Dan is nit always availble to run trips so Keygan will get any over flow. Everyguide is put through training to offer CS clients great experiences. Therefor we can accomandate more trips.

Captains will fully cover your fishing equipment and even bring a lunch of burgers or Bratwurst sausages to keep you going if you book an 8-hour trip. You’ll need to purchase a fishing license in advance and bring any drinks you'd like to enjoy. If a 3rd person comes, they must bring waders. 

**Due to increase in cancellations once your trip is booked you will owe the remainder of the $100 deposit to Chromeseekers Sportfishing. This is refundable if we have to cancel due to weather. Cost of the trip will be the same as what fishbooker charges not including gratuity. Thank you

Come fishing for one of Michigan's toothiest critters, Northern Pike. You will cast mainly thundersticks and spinners at these fish with braided line. June and July are the best time but the fish can also be caught into August. 

Fish ranges 12-25 inches with the occasional fish caught over 30 inches. If you are lucky, you may possibly hook into a chrome fish.

Peak time is usually November, late Feb, March and early April. Fishing is typically good through out winter. Will not take clients out in freezing temps


Only recomend afternoons in the winter. If you still want to go in the afternoon we can accommodate you.

I recomend three anglers only during peak season

5 Hour Trip – Betsie Steelhead (PM)

Come fishing for one of Michigan's toothiest critters, Northern Pike. You will cast mainly thundersticks and spinners at these fish with braided line. June and July are the best time but the fish can also be caught into August. 

Fish ranges 12-25 inches with the occasional fish caught over 30 inches. If you are lucky, you may possibly hook into a chrome fish.

Am and Pm trips available.  These trips are limited to two people.

3 Hour Trip – Northern Pike AM 2MAX

Come fishing for one of Michigan's toothiest critters, Northern Pike. You will cast mainly thundersticks and spinners at these fish with braided line. June and July are the best time but the fish can also be caught into August. Fish ranges 12-25 inches with the occasional fish caught over 30 inches. If you are lucky, you may possibly hook into a chrome fish. These trips are for two people only.

3 Hour Trip – Northern Pike PM 2MAX

Come fishing for one of Michigan toothiest critters, the Northern Pike. You will cast mainly thundersticks and spinners at these fish with braided line. 

Fish range 12 - 25 inches with the occasional fish caught over 30 inches. If your lucky, you may possibly hook into a silver fish.

Max 2 people on these trips

5 Hour Trip – Northern Pike (AM)

Come do battle with some of the biggest fish in Michigan. We will be fishing either body baits or floating skein underneath a bobber. All rods have spinning reels with long rods. All you need is a license and warm clothes, I have all the gear you will need. 

If I am already booked you will be fishing with my other guide Keygan who is a fish bum and loves guiding people to great memories.

4 Hour Trip – Betsie Salmon (PM)

Come do battle with some of the biggest fish in Michigan. We will be fishing either body baits or floating skein underneath a bobber. All rods have spinning reels with long rods. All you need is a license and warm clothes, I have all the gear you will need. When fishing slows in the Betsie for Salmon, we start fishing the Big Manistee.

If I am already booked you will be fishing with my other guide Keygan who is a fish bum and loves guiding people to great memories.

4 Hour Trip – Betsie Salmon (AM)

Looking to test your skills against a challenging fish? Then Steelhead is for you. All you need is a license and warm clothes, as the captain has all the gear you will need.

Primetime is usually November, late February, March, and early April. Winter is good as well. Will not take clients out in freezing temps.
