Time Off Fishing Charter is a family-owned and operated fishing charter in Shalimar, Florida that has fished these waters for over 20 years. If you’re looking to have fun and catch fish, then look no further! Except for being a good-humored angler, Captain Jason Yates is an army combat veteran and a full supporter of the military, first responders, law enforcement, and more!  He and his crew are here to make your trip exciting, fun, and memorable. Call or text so they can get you on board the Time Off Fishing Charter!

Your trip starts on a 27’ Scout Deep V Center Console big enough to take 6 guests. Running on twin Yamaha engines and rigged with all the modern navigation electronics, the boat will quickly and safely get you to the fish. The boat is equipped with outriggers, downriggers, a livewell, as well as a wireless trolling motor. There’s a portable toilet you can use and an ice-box to store your drinks and food. For any help you may need, feel free to ask the first mate.

Some of the fish you can target includes Mahi Mahi, Snapper, Trigger, Grouper, Amberjack, Mackerel, Redfish, Trout, Wahoo, Tuna, Cobia, and many more. You’ll attract fish by bottom and deep sea fishing, trolling, jigging, spinning, and drift fishing. Kids are welcome to come aboard and you can keep the fish you catch.

Captain Jason covers you for everything from fishing gear to drinks to licenses, and will even clean and fillet your catch for free. Before you go, just bring the food of your choice and you’ll be all set.

Our focus on Kids Fishing Trips are to get them familiar with Saltwater Fishing. We want them to get excited about reeling in different species of fish like pinfish, catfish, croakers, etc. Creating memories is our goal and we will do everything we can to achieve that. This trip is catch and release.

On this trip we will be fishing the Choctawhactchee Bay for multiple species which include: Mangrove Snapper, Redfish, Trout, Sheepshead, Spanish Mackerel, Blue fish, and Black Drum.

4 Hour Trip – Inshore

4 Hour Trip – Inshore - 1:00 PM

You and the crew will be fishing up to 9 miles offshore. The trip includes bait, tackle, water, sodas, fuel charge, as well as fishing licenses for everyone on board. You'll depart at 7:00 a.m. and fish until 11:00 a.m.

4 Hour Trip - Offshore (AM)

You and the crew will be fishing up to 9 miles offshore. The trip includes bait, tackle, water, sodas, fuel charge, as well as fishing licenses for everyone on board. You'll depart at 2:00 p.m. and fish until 6:00 p.m.

4 Hour Trip - Offshore (Noon)

Head out up to 9 miles off the shore and have a great time targeting a variety of species in the fish-rich waters of Shalimar. Captain Jason provides you with all the fishing gear, bait, sodas, water, and fishing licenses. The trip price includes the fuel charge.

Half Day Trip – Offshore (AM)

With this trip we focus on using slow pitch jig lures. We have all of our anglers setup with a lighter rod and reel combo for ease of use. Everyone will have a slow pitch jig lure and you will send the lure all the way down to the bottom. Once you hit the bottom you will do an up and down motion with your rod. Make sure to hang on because any minute your rod my bend all the way over! At that point reel that fish up! I will personally give a demonstration before any fishing begins. Tight lines!!!

6 Hour Slow Pitch Jigging Trip

Six hours on the water we will head out up to 25 miles offshore depending on the sea conditions.  This will allow us a better opportunity to bring you plenty of fishing fun. You and the crew will be chasing various species around Shalimar. The captain provides all the fishing gear, bait, sodas, water, as well as fishing licenses. The trip price includes the fuel charge.

6 Hour Trip – Offshore

8 Hour Slow Pitch Jigging Trip

8 hours on the water we will head out up to 30-40 miles offshore depending on the sea conditions.  This will allow us a better opportunity to bring you plenty of fishing fun. You and the crew will be chasing various species around Shalimar. The captain provides all the fishing gear, bait, sodas, water, as well as fishing licenses. The trip price includes the fuel charge.

8 Hour Trip – Offshore

8 hours on the water we will head out up to 50 miles offshore depending on the sea conditions.  This will allow us a better opportunity to bring you plenty of fishing fun. You and the crew will be chasing various species around Shalimar. The captain provides all the fishing gear, bait, sodas, water, as well as fishing licenses. The trip price includes the fuel charge.

Full Day Trip – Offshore

On our deep sea trolling trips, we will be focusing on species like wahoo, mahi mahi, tuna, billfish, etc. These trips are longer and takes a lot of patience but can have big rewards. Depending on the weather and conditions, we may travel up to 75+ miles.

Full Day – Deep Sea Trolling

On our Deep Drop Fishing Trips we travel out to depths up to 1300ft and target species like Snowy Grouper, Yellowedge Grouper, Blue and Yellow Tile Fish, Scamp Grouper, Long Tail Seabass, and more! We have options to manually real these deep dwelling fish up or using our electric reels to bring them up with little effort.
