  4 Hour Trip – Goliath Grouper - 1:00 PM on March 24, 2026 • 2 adults

  As we pull away on the boat, I tell Chris that catching a Goliath is on my bucket list. He responds, "We're going to check it off your list today!" Suddenly, the rod bends, and verbal cues fly: "Pull up... Lower... Reel! Reel! Reel!" I reply, "I can't reel; it's impossible," with laughter in the background. Without Chris and Toby's help, I wouldn't have landed a monster Goliath. After catching the second one, I admit my body was completely exhausted. Of course, Chris insists we take her to the beach for a picture, and let me know that I'm going to get wet. Chris and Toby are the perfect team, and they'll get you on fish. Thanks for the memory, bruised arm, and sore back!

  Great Day on the Water

  4 Hour Trip – Inshore/Flat (pm) on March 8, 2026 • 4 adults

  Chris Anderson provided a wonderful fishing day in the Cape Coral Mangroves. The boat was fitted out with every device that you could imagine in the interest of pursuing snook in the many inshore mangrove nooks and cranies. Chris constantly shared his extensive knowledge of seeking out fish and was a pleasant companion. He was easy to talk with and was interested in your background and freely shared his. I succesfully filled in the missing species on my bucket list and landed my first snook. I would highly recomend Southern Charter for anyone looking for a relaxing and exciting day on the water.

  Busy Afternoon of Fishing in Cape Coral FL

  4 Hour Trip – Inshore/Flat (pm) on March 3, 2026 • 4 adults

  We had a great afternoon out on the water with Southern Charters Fishing Co. Our Captain Chris was exceptional listening to our wants and needs then guiding us to where the fish were biting. Two (2) out of the 4 of us had never caught a fish in their lives ( one was 76 years old ). Chris was so great explaining how to use the rods and reals as well as keeping up with everyone’s needs from baiting our hooks to bringing the fish we caught onto the boat. All 4 of us caught many fish and we kept the 4 that where legal in size. Chris cleaned and bagged the fish we took home for dinner that night. He gave us tips on how to prepare the fish that was right on the nose, taste was wonderful and talk about Fresh. All 4 of us will go out with Chris & Southern Charters next time we are in Cape Coral FL. I hank you Chris for a great afternoon on the water and for being so in tune with our group of 4.   Got started and the rain came, Captain Chris ran us back in to cover. Waited about an hour and took us right back out. Caught our limit of Speckled Trout ! Deck Hand Austin was outstanding as well.

  4 Hour Trip – Inshore/Flats (am) on April 1, 2026 • 6 adults • 4 children

  Captain Chris did a great job listening to what we were interest in catching. He showed us different techniques and put us on fish. We caught 6 different species of fish on our 2 trips booked with captain Chris. Our family of 6 had plenty of room to fish on his boat. We will definitely use captain Chris if we vacation back to this area again in the future.
