Depending on the time of year, you might hook into Snook, Redfish, Speckled Trout, Tarpon, Goliath Grouper, Kingfish, Cobia, Jack Crevalle, Mangrove Snapper, and who knows what else! During the trip, you might be light tackle fishing, bottom fishing, or something more specialized in this area. Remember that some species might be protected or require a tag to keep them.
Feel free to keep any fish you catch, assuming they’re legal to harvest. Plus, Capt. Chris can even clean your catch for you to enjoy later! Kids are welcome aboard, so you can make it a family trip.
Your boat for the day is a 23’ Center console with space for 6 passengers. You’ll find rods, reels, and tackle, along with lures, waiting for you. Live bait is included, but it’s good to ask about this, so you know if you’ll be catching it yourself. Bringing sunblock (non-spray), a hat, drinks, snacks, and sunglasses is never a bad idea. There will be bottled water available on board.

Trip was a blast and I would recommend Captain Chris

First the captain called me and said another day would be better for our trip if we could move it so we did. Our boat was cleaned and well organized with the captain being polite and responsive.
Day started off on time and we caught bait. While catching bait we caught our target bait and some sea trout. Catching bait was fun and quick and the sea trout were a nice bonus catch.
We then targeted the Goliath grouper and we were on the fish almost immediately. My son hooked up and lost one but then landed it. We moved for some bigger fish and I caught one then my son caught another one. We had three Goliath groupers in about a hour and a half. All grouper were in the50 lbs range and fought hard. They were fun to catch. He said let’s go find some bigger ones but there were a lot of tarpon around and our first choice was a tarpon charter so we pivoted.
There were lots of tarpon around and my son really wanted to try to catch a tarpon so the captain pivoted to tarpon fishing for us. He was upfront and honest telling us tarpon are hit or miss especially this time of year and we didn’t have the right bait for them. We didn’t catch any tarpon but the captain tried a few spots and a few different techniques. All in all a great day and I would definitely book another charter with him.

Despite off season and high winds, captain Chris found some secluded spots and put us on fish. We all had a good time catching fish and enjoying Florida weather. Hand feeding tarpon with some of our catch was a bonus
