Had a blast on a 4 hour fishing tour with One More Charters, to celebrate a special birthday. We had a 5 person group and most of us were novice level, with not much fishing experience, while 2 in our group had a decent level of fishing experience.
Captain Torin was great from the start, educating us on what to expect and quickly teaching us what we needed to do. He was the perfect blend of teacher/instructor allowing us to learn and grow while also being willing to jump in whenever needed. Captain Torin’s passion, knowledge, experience and charisma made for a very fun and exciting day for all of us. We had a very adventurous outing, seeing a herd of Devil Rays on the surface as we traveled to our fishing destination, literally hundreds of them. We caught the largest Copia of the season for OMC but it was a few inches short so we had to release him. We also caught a small reef shark that we also released. We had the best luck with grey snapper/grunts and we had enough to bring home and make the best ceviche I’ve ever had, as well as a fish dinner that fed the 5 of us. Overall an epic day and Captain Torin was the main reason for that, we’ll definitely repeat this for another big event in the future, and I’d recommend One More Charters to anyone looking for a great fishing experience in Tampa Bay area.

Captain Torin provided an unforgettable and amazing day on the water. He is an outstanding captain and guide, who’s extremely knowledgeable about the type of fish we were fishing for and where to find them. His boat is completely stocked with everything needed for the day of fishing, it’s well cared for and he makes you feel relaxed and welcomed from the moment you arrive. We started catching fish from the first spot we stopped and kept catching as we moved forward from spot to spot the rest of the day. Great fishing, good music and some hilarious moments made for an unforgettable trip and turned out to be a highlight of our visit to the are. I want to leave an honest review of our experience with Captain Torin. We’re locals from the Tampa area and had just gone through Hurricane Milton. Our 6-year anniversary was on Oct 11, but with the storm, I completely forgot about it. To make up for it, I booked a 7-hour fishing trip with Captain Torin, and my brother-in-law joined us, so Captain Torin had three guests.

The day of the trip, the wind was blowing at 25 mph, making fishing tough. But Captain Torin took us to all his best spots and stayed engaged the whole time—setting up rigs, baiting lines, and doing everything he could to help us catch fish. We caught ladyfish, which led to trout, drum, a 27 3/4-inch snook, and a 15-inch pompano.

This was my 5th fishing attempt with little to no success previously. My dad’s last trip as he just can’t move around safely. I was about to make this my last one and asked Torin to go catching and not fishing, boy did this request stress him out, but he came through with flying colors. The 4 of us caught 26 grey snappers, with a bonus Red Drum at 26 1/2” long.  Captain Torin was extremely aware of keeping my dad comfortably and us entertained with catching all day.  I can say we were highly satisfied with our day. Appreciate you Captain Torin and we plan to be back soon.
