Captain Vinnie and First Mate Miles took us on a great trip to catch striped bass! We had a range of experience in the group and they helped us all successfully catch fish. We started around 4:30am and caught live bait, and then we went out to catch our striped bass. Captain Vinnie put us on the fish and you could tell that he knew what he was doing, knew the area extremely well, and knew most of the other captains on the water. We had a great time!

My sons and I were in NYC for a late summer vacation and wanted to try our hand at catching a Striper. I first contacted another captain who directed me to the the Karen Ann and Capt Vinnie. Even with the remnants of Hurricane Debbie having just left the area, Capt Vinnie was able to put us on oversized Stripers within sight of lower manhattan much to the delight of my boys. Highly recommend. Only wish we had been in town the week before to chase the bluefin and cobia.

He’s got a wealth of information not just of the local fisheries but what works and what doesn’t. We told him our next goal in life was to learn the trade and start our own charter business back home. He started sharing as much info as he could. Truly inspiring.

After booking, he communicated expectations and worked out the best times to get on the fish. It was the first time my dad and brother got on some massive stripers and monster blues! The boat rides well and we didn’t have to worry about anything at all. Would definitely get out there with them again!
