The day started badly as Captain Ed’s Live Shrimp delivery never made it to him. We waited but it never arrived.
Captain Ed pivoted, and decided to switch to offshore fishing, and trolling instead.
The fish were not really biting for the first 2 1/2
Hours. Captain Ed then decided to take us to The Hump, 25 miles offshore to make sure we caught some fish. He extended the trip from a 4 hour 1/2 day, to a 7 hour trip without charging us any additional monies.
He felt that he needed to make us happy about our fishing trip.
Going to the hump 25 miles away produced Several large tunas and over 25 Mahi !
Some were not big enough and had to be let back into the water. However, Captain Ed made it a day to remember.

He was outstanding as well, and extremely friendly and helpful. Great Mate !

The weather wasn’t cooperating for great fishing weather (fairly windy), so we weren’t able to go to the location that was planned and instead headed to a location where it was not as rough.  Unfortunately, with the tide going out, we had a bit more difficulty catching appropriately sized fish.

Captain Ed and Mike worked their hardest to keep us catching fish, but even though we were catching fish, many were not keepers (size wise or species related).

Fishing is fishing, and they don’t always bite as well as you want them to, but I couldn’t expect any more from this experience as everything was done to give us the best opportunity to catch fish (including extending the trip to give us as much time as possible before sunset.)

From my perspective, we all had a good time, caught many species of fish and did have enough to take home for a tasty dinner.  And while the captain felt bad that we didn’t catch as much as we were hoping for, he and his son were entertaining and engaging and just pleasant people to meet.  I wouldn’t hesitate to go back and use them again.

Extremely happy with Captain Ed and Mike. They were very helpful and put us on some fish even though the weather wasn’t great. We were still able to land a few and had a great time overall, just wish we could have been able to land the monster that got away.

Great all around. Captain Ed and First Mate Maikel were very knowledgeable in every aspect. Due to rough seas, we were not able to get out on the Atlantic side but the Captain still got us on the fish. We did the inshore reef/wreck six hour package and caught many mangrove snapper and a few other species. Any experienced or non-experienced crew will enjoy this charter. 5/5

First time fishing out on the open water. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Ed and Mikey were patient with our group and taught us a ton. They were fun to be with and we caught a Mahi Mahi and a ton of yellow tail snapper. Only wish we booked more time. Next time definitely going to go get some Tuna. Look no further these are the best guides we could have asked for!
