Captain Welch is an absolutely amazing guide and wealth of knowledge! I booked this charter for myself and my husband as an early 30th birthday gift for him and it did not disappoint. We caught an incredible amount of sheepshead! I cannot recommend JW Charters enough! I will definitely bringing my friends and family down to book again in the spring. JW Charters was great! John and Wes both are locals to the OBX and they know the water! They got us on multiple cobia during the may run. We were out ahead of a lot of the other groups and we did fantastic. We had no problem reaching out limit to take home. Thanks!

Captain Jonathon was very friendly, knowledgeable, and gave great instructions. I had never used a popping cork before our charter. I caught 4 specs with a little tutorial and some pointers from the captain. Great success! Then we went for some sheepshead and same story. A short how to and some pointers and we were on them. I was very excited I caught my very first sheepshead on this trip. Thanks Captain!

Jonathon was exactly what we needed and we’re looking for. He got us on fish first thing in the morning and continued to through our trip. He patiently worked with my 6 year old to help him cast and show him tips and tricks while giving me tips to catch fish. We will definitely be going with him again whenever we visit. He also called me hours later and delivered some extra goodies to our beach house. Stand up guy
