We arrived a few minutes before our start time. The capt was out checking his bait pots and unfortunately, all of his white fish bait were dead. We ended up fishing with shrimp the whole time. We caught probably 30-35 fish in the 4 hour slot. We hit them hard first cast, then it was slow for about an hour. We got back into them, but they were all too small. We made another move and got back into the small fish. We ran out of bait about 30 min before noon and headed in so we got caught a little short on our time. The kids had a blast and all in all it was a great trip. No fish to take home, but we didn’t go without catching some. Overall I’d say it was a good day and we enjoyed the captain. He was very engaged with the kids , so that was a definite bonus. I’d do it again.Thanks for the trip Hayden.

Captain Hayden is a laid-back, friendly and knowledgeable fisherman.  Even though it was somewhat of a slow fishing day, we did catch snook, a big red fish, and some catfish.  Unfortunately, we couldn’t keep the snooks as they were out of season nor the red fish since it was too big and therefore not in the size slot for keeping but they were still fun to catch.  And Captain Hayden allowed us an extra hour of fishing at no charge just so we could try to get on more fish which was really nice of him. 

We would definitely recommend Fish Factor Charters and Captain Hayden for anyone looking for a good fishing day in the Sarasota/Osprey area.
