- I was born and raised on the Northern Gulf of Mexico, in Mobile, Ala. My father was one of the first charter captains in this area, out of a barrier island called Dauphin, Island. I went on to begin charter fishing full time out of Orange Beach, Alabama, where I currently own and operate the Jus Cuz.

- I prefer to light tackle fish as opposed to terminal heavy tackle over the thousands of reefs we have in our coastal region. It's always gratifying to see people be amazed by how big a fish they can catch on light weight tackle.

Guys put us on fish all day and made our arms sore! Had so much action that the boys had to take a break. Captain Shawn was amazing with our family especially our daughter (co captain). She took a nap while we were bottom fishing and he watched over her while we all got to fish. At one time we all 4 had fish on the line. Wish snapper and trigger season was in cause we would have brought home a ton more. We caught King Mackerel, Spanish Mackerel, Bonito, Red snapper, Trigger Fish, ruby red lips and my wife even had a shark on the line! What an awesome day! We will be booking again. Can’t wait to see that video captain Shawn took of my wife catching the big red. The deckhand Corey was also great and was wonderful with our kiddos, especially the 2 yo daughter. We booked a 4 hour but upgraded to a 6 hour trip because we were having so much fun. Can’t wait to come back.

Best trip ever! Captain Albert and his first mate put us on the fish and the whole family had the best time pulling in the fish! Jus Cuz Fishing Charter far exceeded our expectations, friendly crew, well appointed boat, expierenced and friendly crew delivered a trip that my family will always remember. We just enjoyed a meal of red snapper that we caught today… priceless! I have been on many different boats and will rank Jus Cuz as the top trip for family fun! Oh and did I say, they will put you on the fish! From the first time fisherman, to the expierence angler, you can’t have a better time on any other boat! Thanks Ed! What a great trip with a super guy! Ed caught so many fish we nicknamed him Ed’s Seafood! We caught King Mackeral, when we could keep the Flipper’s off of them! Ed caught a large 34” Red Snapper, which we released, and a bunch of triggerfish, Bonita, and did battle with a very large bull shark as well! Great day with a great charter! Look forward to doing it again!

Our family of six blindly picked a fishing charter for our family vacation in August 2016 and couldn’t have been more happy with our selection of Jus Cuz. I booked this 5 hour trip for 6 men during Red Snapper season, and we were very pleased. Three of us had no experience fishing in the area, and both the Captain and the deck hand were awesome. The boat was a bit larger (38’) than the others I saw in its price range but well worth it because we were not piled on top of each other. The 5 hour trip took us about 10 miles out, where we fished for snapper, and we troll fished going out and coming in. The captain knew what he was doing, putting us on the fish and moving us promptly if we were not hitting and while he was doing this, the deckhand (Shawn) helped us with whatever we needed and both were very personable. I highly recommend this charter and crew.

Having been on charters before, I knew what to expect. However, Captain Cuz and Sean were absolutely outstanding. They made our day an experience to remember. I suspect day-in, day-out that it gets t be a grind, but they seemed to have a passion for catching fish and putting people on fish. We fished all the way there…and caught fish…...We fished here and there…..and caught fish….. We fished on the way back…...and caught fish. And Cuz and Sean were as excited when we hooked up as we were.
I can’t imagine better fishing or a better more congenial Captain or Deckhand. God willing, we will be back to spend time more time on the Jus Cuz…

The first mate and captain were pleasant and made a strong effort to help us catch fish. However the wind and waves did not allow us to really do off shore fishing. We caught a number of Spanish mackerel. We had hoped to catch a variety of fish. What we thought was going to be an off shore fishing trip made up of trolling and limited bottom fishing turned out to be an inshore trolling trip. Having experienced several inshore trips I was disappointed with the results of the trip. However my three sons and one daughter in law really enjoyed the trip and the fish we ate as a result.

Both Capt. Albert and deckhand Sean were friendly and knowledgeable. We caught King, snapper, trigger and many other species of fish, though most were out of season. My only regret is that we did more trolling than bottom fishing, which is where we caught 99% of our fish. Just like anything, its fishing and not work. Thanks.

We had my 15 year old daughter, her friend, my 18 year-old son, his friend, and my wife and I. We did the 5 hour trip. We caught 3 different kinds of snapper, trigger fish, amberjack, etc. They cooked for us on the way back. Capt. Albert and the deck hand Shawn were easy to work with, they explained ahead of time to the girls exactly how to work the reels, and did everything for us. They took very good care of us from initial contact all the way to the end. We’ll be going fishing on the Jus Cuz again for sure, and we were talking about making it an annual event!
