  Half Day Trip – Stripers/Catfish on June 12, 2026 • 2 adults

  I booked this trip as a Father’s Day gift for my husband because he loves fishing, and it turned out to be an amazing experience! Booking was quick and easy. The same day I made the reservation, Capt. Ronnie called me personally. He was friendly, personable, and made me feel confident that we were in good hands. On the morning of the trip, my husband and I got a little lost, but when I called, Capt. Ronnie patiently guided us to the pickup location. Throughout the trip, Capt. Ronnie was friendly, knowledgeable, helpful, and informative. We caught our fair share of fish, and whenever the bite slowed down, he quickly moved us to another spot to keep the action going. One of the highlights was watching Capt. Ronnie clean and fillet all of our fish while teaching us how to do it ourselves. The boat was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. I highly, highly recommend Capt. Ronnie and Playing Hooky Charters. He definitely did not disappoint! We look forward to booking another trip in the future. Thank you, Capt. Ronnie, for helping make this Father’s Day such a memorable and special one for my husband! ❤️❤️❤️

  Had a nice trip with Captain Ronnie today.

  The Captain was great, knowledgeable, professional, and courteous. Fished for striped bass, fishing was slow, managed a few fish even though the conditions weren’t ideal Captain Ronnie worked hard to find the fish, the water temperature was too high and the fish weren’t biting. Sometimes that happens. Would fish again with him in a heartbeat! Highly recommend Captain Ronnie and Playin Hooky charters.

  Great fun with few fish

  Didn’t catch lots, but Capt. Ronnie kept us informed and enlightened about Lake Murray and striper fishing in general. Super pleasant and clearly knowledgable. We will look forward to fishing with him again!

  great captain but the fish were dimply not biting.

  We had a great time. The captain was very knowledgeable and a lot of fun. The fish were simply no biting.
