Full Day Trip • 2 adultsCaptain Giovanni, first and foremost, was one of the best captains I have ever had. His experience is extensive, and he even held a Curacao record at one point according to the hotel I was staying at. And even though he has all that experienced, he respected the fact that I have extensive knowledge (not necessarily of Curacao but of angling in general) and discussed location and plans with me. We did catch a Mahi that day, and we were going to keep trolling for Wahoo, but Captain Giovanni, as mentioned, acquiesced to my request to target bull shark and the Mahi (the only catch of that day, as we switched targets about 2 hours in) I converted to chum to see if we could find a shark. Even though we didn't succeed on finding a shark, as we were traveling around the island, Captain Giovanni told us many stories of history of all the old Dutch forts that are dotted around the island from times of invasion and piracy in the Caribbean. This experience made the trip worth even more than what I paid (which was very reasonable for a 50+ ft boat). Even my wife (who is not an angler and gets very seasick without dramamine) enjoyed the experience because it was so much more than just a fishing charter. Lastly, the water was beautiful. I recommend Giovanni and Paranda Boat Trips to anyone from the beginner all the way to the most advanced anglers. Hire with confidence! Fish on!
