I have booked two other trout trips through Fishbooker and on this trip we caught more than the other two combined, learned a few new interesting things, and reeled in the biggest trouts we have ever seen. I was very happy with the trip and would highly recommend it to anyone wanting to dig into trout fishing.

Shawn knows his stuff and knows where to find the fish. Our relatively inexperienced group of three adults and a 9 year-old caught fish on the first cast, the last cast and a whole bunch in between. First our guide Shawn explained everything in detail which really helped.  We caught over 30 fish in 4 hours.  We caught 1 large mouth Bass at the beginning and probably lost 6 before we all got the hang of it.  Shawn was very encouraging and even my wife pulled in 3. I would very highly recommend Shawn as a guide and person.

Shawn was fantastic - so friendly and accommodating for my father’s 85th birthday fishing trip.  They caught huge trout at Aurora Reservoir and had a wonderful day.  Shawn even sent me photos of my Dads day!  We’ve booked with Shawn twice now and both times were amazing.  I highly recommend The Finesse Angler!!

I’ve chartered quite a few bass boats and this captain delivered in many ways.  Communication was excellent, Shimano reels, immaculate boat and more importantly put me on some great fish.  Caught a monster 18inch smallie and a bunch of other quality smallies.  Would recommend highly
