Texas Saltwater Adventures is owned an operated by Captain Leaf Potter, a seasoned local captain who has been running fishing charters in the waters around Freeport and Rockport, Texas, for well over two decades. A very well respected captain in the area, he has built his business to the extent that he now owns four boats. When he's not taking out a fishing trip himself, you will find his son, Capt. Cole Potter, who also grew up on these water's, is ready and waiting to share his passion for fishing with you. This family-owned duo is excited to get you on fish!

    A great life memory

    Half Day Trip – Spring Break (PM) • 3 adults • 2 children

    Captaib Leaf was awesome and easy to talk to. this was my girls (8 and 6) first time on a boat and first time fishing and he made sure they had a blast. He put us on a bunch of sheepshead right away. Great trip for anyone looking to fry some fish at the end of the day.

    Awesome day, great experience, with Capt Cole

    4 Hour Trip — Spring Special • 4 adults

    Great day on the water. Catching Catfish and Jack. Was hoping for a Shark but no luck, Captain Cole very knowledgeable and got us on the fish. Overall great experience for the boys.

    Excellent attitudes and very supportive of my grandson. But of course… Cole found the snapper. What else would you expect of one of the best guides around.

What's biting with Texas Saltwater Adventures 24ft in Surfside Beach

The temperatures start to drop, but Gulf fishing is still seriously productive. Nearshore, you can target Mackerel and Shark species, as well as Cobia. Bay fishing offers up Speckled Trout and Bull Reds.
