Had a great time. Booked a 6 hr trip with 2 boats 8 people, ended up with 1 halibut a cod and a few non keepers then right at the end landed a 35lb king. So ended up good. then booked  another tfip with em. 

kinda slow 

I reserved 2 boats since we were a party of 7. We were 5 adults and 2 children under 6. We agreed to split up, girls (4) against the boys (3). Once we were in port (Ketchikan) I was told they had only 1 boat available and only 6 people could go. Terrible news and at the last minute. The charter representative said he would check to see if he could do something and try and get us a second boat. The problem was made worse because we had to take a shuttle into town and then find our captain. We were only in port a short time. When we finally got to town, then found the captain, the charter representative said he had managed to find us a second boat and captain. Now time was passing, we waited about an hour for the second boat to pull up. We split up 3 on the newer smaller boat and 4 on the bigger boat. Off we went. No complaints about the scenery, the boats or the conditions. We soon had lines in the water. The bigger boat took much longer since the boat was restricted due to its since and the "no wake" rule for larger boats (30'). Our boat was a 26'. Too much time was lost waiting for the second boat, traveling to the pickup zone and then dealing with the no wake rule. At the end of the day, we had to head back to port and get the shuttle. The larger boat was no permitted to use the dock where the Encore was docked. Had we had 2 - 26 footers, we could have both gone directly to the Encore dock. 
The biggest issue I had was the last-minute scrambling around trying to get the second boat. I made the reservation about a month before the reservation date. All this would have given us more time with lines in the water instead of wasting time at the dock. No complaints about my captain. Good guy and was doing what he thought would catch us bigger fish. He got us that.

Great day on the water, maxed on halibut and caught plenty of salmon. Well experienced and nice captain! Very responsive company.

Best excursion/day of the cruise by far! Our captain was great and we limited out on salmon! Definitely recommend. Wish we could have had more time in Ketchikan so we could have gone out for halibut too.

Jeremiah was an amazing captain. He was positive, helpful, and paved the way for us to catch our limit of halibut. We would come back and fish with him any day!

	Average highs of 40 degrees and 15 inches of rain and snow put many anglers off in January. There are some big King Salmon if you're willing to tough it out, though.

	Halibut come into season in February, if you can find a boat to get to them. Otherwise you can head to the rivers for a variety of fly fishing favorites.</p>

	There is a consistent bite of Dolly Varden, King Salmon, Rockfish, Halibut, and Lingcod in March, meaning plenty of big battles and some tasty fish to take home for dinner.</p>

	The main charter season still hasn't started, but that just means even more water for you to enjoy. Target Halibut, King Salmon, Rockfish, and the area's other permanent residents.</p>


<p>
	The Ketchikan King Salmon Derby has been kicking off the summer fishing season for over 70 years, and still draws competitive anglers to town for three weekends of great fishing.</p>


<p>
	The Ketchikan King Salmon Derby is still going strong in June, giving you the chance to be crowned King of Kings and scoop up some great prizes alongside the huge fish.</p>

	Every species of Salmon is on fire in July. Kings tail off towards the end of the month, but if you're after an IGFA Salmon Fantasy Slam, this is one of the best times and places to try.</div>

	The Blueberry Arts Festival has been running for over 40 years, bringing together local artists, craftsmen, and fun-lovers of all ages. If you're in town in August, you have to check it out!

	September is one of the best months for Silver Salmon in Ketchikan, and there are still plenty of Kings around, too. It's also the tail end of Halibut high season, making it a great time to visit.</div>

	Most of the summer's Salmon have made their long journey upriver by October. Silver Salmon are the exception, and can still be caught this time of year, as can the resident Kings.</div>


<div>
	Ketchikan's charter season starts to shut down in November, but you can still find a few boats willing to take you out in search of Halibut, Rockfish, Lingcod, and King Salmon.</div>


<div>
	Can't decide what to cook this Christmas? How about a nice, fresh Salmon? These are some of the tastiest, most expensive fish around, and are more than big enough to feed the family.</div>
