John is a consummate professional and top both fisherman. A true steward of the environment and commited to the fishing rxperience as well as a healthy fish population. We were on the fish within minutes and had the coming to the boat throughout the day. All equipment is top of the line and well suited to all skill levels. I enjoyed my experience immensely and will definitely be back for more Alabama big bass.

Outstanding guide! Would definitely recommend!

My best friend and I went on an eight hour guided trip with John (for my 50th birthday), and we had the time of our lives! We caught lots of quality fish, and it was like fishing with two of my best friends!!  An amazing experience, and I would very strongly recommend using John Maner, if you are fishing Guntersville!!!!

I like John. But I have never been on a guided trip where the guide is always in the water first. It seemed he wanted to make sure he caught fish first and foremost. I have never been with a guide that fished more than his clients. I do not like leaving bad reviews but I was very disappointed on how the trip went. He is a nice guy but making sure you catch more than you clients should not be first priority. Just my opinion.
