To say this charter exceeded our expectations, would be an understatement! From the knowledge both Quentin and Caleb had on marine life and fishing hot spots to their fun demeanor made for a wonderful birthday present for my husband (and I). The crazy girl 2 was a beautiful boat in a fleet of well cared for boats. The guys were professional and their customer service was 5 star (always checking to see if we were having fun-which we were). Conversation was funny and genuine. The bite was tough but we were thrilled to bring back beautiful flounder that Quentin fileted for us quickly and perfectly at the end of our trip. You can easily tell that these guys truly love what they do, respect the ocean and locals while extending that passion to their customers. We found out it was Quentin’s birthday while on the charter but he never rushed or made us feel like we were imposing on plans (truly a class act), instead he showed how much this wasn’t just a job-it’s a lifestyle! Stop thinking about booking-do it! We already know this will be our inlett must do on return visits! Thank you Quentin and Caleb for an amazing experience that we will treasure forever!

I had a fisherman buddy come visit from Long Island and he wanted to see how we do it down here. We booked an afternoon charter and we’re lucky with the weather, 78 in early March. Captain Nick was very professional and instructed us on the proper technique. He took us around the creeks in Murrell’s Inlet and we eventually we landed on a honey hole. He was communicating in the radio with two other captains and it was clear who was pulling in fish; 7 keeper sea trout, 1 too short. Nick cleaned them up for us and we ate them that night, nothing better.
I highly recommend Reel Fly Girlz and Captain Nick in particular great boat, tackle, the works! If you’re a novice, he will teach you a lot, if you’re experienced then you’ll learn something too, just pay attention. He’s a patient teacher, after all that’s what fishing’s about. Patience.

Booked a last minute father and son winter fishing charter with Captain Nick, Wild Thang. We were dressed appropriately but did not bring any jackets as we were not familiar with the area and how cold the winter inshore weather was. On the ride out to the reef my son and I were about to become popsicles but thankfully Captain Nick was very prepared and gave us each a jacket to wear. Wowow, we were so thankful he was a life saver! The trip was challenging due to the unusually cold weather that day but Captain Nick managed to put us on some fish. My son caught his first ever puppy Red Drum and we took home some good eating Black Drum fillets. Those were our goals and Captain Nick made it happen. We will definitely come back again but next time in the warmer season!

Hands down this was the best part of our trip. Captain Quentin was top notch. His knowledge of the area put us right on the fish. He was very friendly and easy to talk to and hang out with. Top notch guide and I would use him again and will recommend him to anyone who will listen.
  The boat crazy girl was very spacious and easy to fish on. Very clean with nice gear and plenty of bait.  Do yourself a favor and get yourself a private charter with him.

The trip was excellent.  Will, Wild Thang’s Captain, was great.  He never stopped trying to put us on fish. 

We started our day fishing in the estuaries because the ocean was too rough.  We had a slow start, but Will kept moving until we were on the fish.  We caught Speckled Trout, Red Fish and Black Drum in the creeks.

Shortly into the second half of our trip, Will decided to take another look at the Ocean.  It had calmed down and the decision was made to give ocean fishing a try.  We ran 15 miles out to the Pawley’s Reef and very quickly began catching a variety of fish that consisted of Grouper, Red Snapper, Porgie, Ringling, Sea Bass, Bluefish, and others.  Most of the fish caught on the reef were catch and release, the action was very steady.

Throughout the trip, Will was courteous, responsive and very attentive.

We are very much looking forward to booking our next trip with Captain Will and Murrells Inlet Fishing Charters!
