Booked a last minute father and son winter fishing charter with Captain Nick, Wild Thang. We were dressed appropriately but did not bring any jackets as we were not familiar with the area and how cold the winter inshore weather was. On the ride out to the reef my son and I were about to become popsicles but thankfully Captain Nick was very prepared and gave us each a jacket to wear. Wowow, we were so thankful he was a life saver! The trip was challenging due to the unusually cold weather that day but Captain Nick managed to put us on some fish. My son caught his first ever puppy Red Drum and we took home some good eating Black Drum fillets. Those were our goals and Captain Nick made it happen. We will definitely come back again but next time in the warmer season!

It was a no brainer that when my family and I visisted MB,SC that we wanted to go deep sea fishing and with only the best, Wild Thang through Murrells Inlet Fishing Charters. They are the best in the state! Will was a great captain and we never left a spot without catching multiple fish. We caught enough to feed our family of 8 for three nights! Trust in MIFC, they won’t disappoint.

The trip was excellent.  Will, Wild Thang’s Captain, was great.  He never stopped trying to put us on fish. 

We started our day fishing in the estuaries because the ocean was too rough.  We had a slow start, but Will kept moving until we were on the fish.  We caught Speckled Trout, Red Fish and Black Drum in the creeks.

Shortly into the second half of our trip, Will decided to take another look at the Ocean.  It had calmed down and the decision was made to give ocean fishing a try.  We ran 15 miles out to the Pawley’s Reef and very quickly began catching a variety of fish that consisted of Grouper, Red Snapper, Porgie, Ringling, Sea Bass, Bluefish, and others.  Most of the fish caught on the reef were catch and release, the action was very steady.

Throughout the trip, Will was courteous, responsive and very attentive.

We are very much looking forward to booking our next trip with Captain Will and Murrells Inlet Fishing Charters!

Captain Nick made our whole vacation (all the way from ND)! He took us both offshore and inshore fishing where we caught a Triggerfish, a Toadfish, Black Sea Bass and some Flounder! We didn’t catch any records (almost), but we had a dang good time! Thank you so much, Captain Nick!

Lovely afternoon.  Captain was very friendly, patient and encouraging bearing in mind we had no fishing experience whatsoever.  He certainly earned his tip that day. A really great afternoon, planning on booking again in september.
