Great weather and great fishing.

Awesome trip, Capt. Paco knew where the fish were & headed there first thing. We had fish on w/i 30min of leaving dock! We made Speckled Trout limit w/i 2 hrs. Capt. Paco offered to take us Red fishing but, we are a lazy bunch and were ready to quit while ahead. I highly recommend SPI fish killer.

Jonathan, i appreciate you taking the time to put in a review on your experience. Fishing is not always easy, but what we had today was too easy. I could not sit back and relax cause someone was hooked up. All you guys made it look too easy. You all were naturals on the technique required to catch the trout. Our trip was supposed to be at 2, but then he texted me on the phone asking if I wanted to start earlier because trout was biting like crazy on his previous trip and he wanted us to have the same action. And the expectations were definitely met. We end up pulling 8 decent sized trouts in. He really knows his stuff and he will make sure you have caught enough fish. He will also teach you lots of good tricks. Highly recommended! He even let me use his sunscreen because I left mine in the car. I’m a customer for life now!

When we (6 of us) decided to book our first fishing trip I researched a few Captains, their boats, and cost. I choose Captain Paco because he actually answered his phone on first ring when everybody else had voicemail and no callbacks. He also answered the phone every time I called him. He also called me a few times just to check on us or discuss the weather or trip specifics as the date got close. Captain Paco has a great 25’ boat and all of his rods worked like a charm. Catching fish was slow at first as we moved several times looking for a hot spot. Captain Paco know the bay like the back of his hand and is knowledgeable on the fish movements and tendencies. We had caught a large Red and several catfish but he kept moving if the fish were not biting frequently enough. We only had 20 minutes left on our 4 hour trip and Captain Paco could of taken us back in because it was a 20 minute trip to get back to the dock but instead he said “I want to try this place I know in the south side” and headed southbound. By the time we arrived at the southern spot we only had 10 minutes left but we started hitting speckled trout. The fishing was fast and furious for about 30 minutes!! Captain Paco was baiting and taking the fish off and untangling line in harmony. He put us on the fish and let us stay out until everybody had caught plenty fish. By the time we got back we were over an hour late. He really cares about his customers catching fish and having a good time. We will definetly book with Captain Paco again!!!!

Truly unparalleled experience. Paco kept working and searching until he put us on fish. On an iffy weather day, five of us caught 3 fish shy of a limit only because we elected to come in early. Paco hustled, was very knowledgeable and had a great sense of humor. Highly recommend choosing this guide.

Trip was awesome. We went out on the clock. Captain was ready to go, went out directly to the good spot. Bait was of great quality (a bit short but we were going through them like candy). Super friendly and funny, he understands we are going for a good time (some captains get a bit upset if you don’t know how to cast etc., Paco took the time to teach the less experienced ones).
Overall, if you want to go have a great time while actually fishing, book this one.As a plus, he is fully bilingual. Speaks Spanish if you are visiting from Spanish speaking countries or English equally good.
If I ever go back to SPIsland, I’ll definitely try to book Paco. We almost hit our limit!
