Captain is what makes this trip special! So quick to fix equipment when something went wrong, grab us a drink, great attitude, fun to talk to, kept our confidence up. We were all first time bowfishers and he really did help each of the 4 of us get to the point of nailing a fish. We loved it and could have stayed out there all night.

He knows lake LBJ really well!   We saw so many fish and a big variety!  We are long time fishing and hunting family but 1st time bow fishing.  He gave us great instructions and brought in a boat load of big ones!  We will book another bow trip and duck trip in December!!

Great experience from start to finish. Captain Wylie was very responsive when I was booked the trip. Answered all my questions and provided all the needed info. The boat was set up really well, and all the fishing gear was top notch. We had never went night fishing or bow fishing before, Wylie and Keanu gave us a demo on how things work and gave tips throughout. We hit a ton of great spot and had chances at 100's of fish. If we had better aim we could have had a boat load of fish. Solid night out on the water, couldn't have asked for a better experience or better captain. At the end our Uber bailed on us, Captain Wylie went out of his way and drove us back to Austin. Top notch experience!

I took my wife out for a date night and we wanted to do something we hadn’t done before. This was such a fun experience. Definitely will be doing again

Wylie was patient, fun and educated us well to bow fish! 🐠  My boys (10/12 can’t stop talking about how much fun they had! We saw 100s of fish, 🦫 beaver, nutrient rat and geese! 

Exciting, Fun and Comfortable

Something you might not know is that there's a statue of Stevie Ray Vaughan on Lady Bird Lake. Believe it or not, the statue is one of the more popular places for fishing, especially in winter.

Fishing Austin in February is decent as long as you're able to go into deeper waters on a boat or kayak. Bank fishing simply will not do, whatever you might be after.

Expect much better fishing conditions when the winter finally breaks. March can get pretty windy, but that shouldn't get in the way of good fishing around here!

The spring fishing season is heating up in Austin and there's hardly a better time to catch your fair share of Bass. Get ready to see the full potential of fishing with a Texas rig.

Pretty much any lake on the Colorado River will have you hooking up dozens of Bass on a good day. The bite slows down when the sun is high, but you can still get plenty of work done even then.

Early June is a great time to be targeting schooling White Bass near creek mouths. If you see birds going crazy over bait fish, get ready for some intense angling!

As summer starts getting more and more intense, getting a consistent Bass bite becomes harder by the week. This is one of those times when experienced guides are worth their weight in gold.

With the water temperatures in the upper-eighties, you can expect Bass to run as deep as they can. This means fishing from the banks is usually a bad idea.

Night fishing is a popular way to catch fish in the first half of September. As summer's chokehold starts to recede, you'll have an easier time of fishing the local lakes.

Austin in fall is home to top-notch Bass action. October tends to be an especially good time for schools of Bass to come closer to the surface.

The first half of November usually has Bass schooling in shallow waters, so stock up on some fast-moving artificials. During the second half of the month, you should make the switch to jigging spoons.

Night fishing near lighted docks is something worth considering this time of year because the results might surprise you! As long as you don't mind the cold, that is.
