Capt Zane and his crew mate Russia beat me to the boat, now I’m an eager fisherwoman and I got there early, they were already there getting the boat prepped and ready to leave promptly at 0700, I love efficiency. They greeted me, helped me aboard and we were off. The waters weren’t kind to many boats out of key west on 8/13/24 but they were kinder to us than anyone else. I attribute so much of this to Zane and his crew. These guys really know the waters and the structures underneath the water. I’m extremely happy to say I’m ending my trip on a serious high and going home with some fish for my freezer. I will definitely fish with these guys again and again and again
Don’t sleep on these guys, book your trip. Just have patience, remember these guys work on the water and phone service isn’t always available like land lubbers like to wish. They will get back with you, you will get your trip booked, you will have a great trip.

So much fun!!!  Incredible crew and staff!  They fulfilled ever request we gave them.  The Kite set up was a continuous demand of full attention for 6 hrs in 90 degree heat.  Wind, current, boat direction, rod tending, first mate communication. Never slow down once!  Zane gave 100% the whole charter, put us on fish and hooked up. The rest was up to us, but God had other plans, lol stuff happens also seen cool, wildlife and learned a lot from him.  First time fishing with Second Nature and I will charter again!  Great young captain!!!

Zane and Nat were awesome!  Family of five went for a 6 hr. afternoon charter.  Trolled for Mahi, Wahoo, and Sailfish.  Didn’t end up getting into those but had a good time pulling up some barracuda. Also spent an hour or so bottom fishing with an electric rig.  Caught some yellow eye snapper and a snowy grouper (which we threw back).  Zane and Nat worked hard the whole trip and had a great attitude with our inexperienced family.  On the trip back to the dock, ran into a pod of dolphin that rode the wake and put on a show.

We decided to spend our anniversary with Second Nature and we couldn’t have made a better choice. Capt Zane and Steve were awesome. Laid back, very knowledgeable and friendly. Cool dudes. We told them we didn’t care how or what we caught and they delivered! I think we were fishing 4 different ways at once. Had a fat mackerel fully breach even though he missed our bait lol. Nice yellowtails, a nice dog and mutton, and a stud sail to highlight the day! Would definitely book again.

Had an amazing time shark fishing with Captain Zane! He knows what he’s doing and will get you what you’re after. The overall experience felt like less of a charter and more like going out on a friend’s boat, which I appreciated greatly. Zane and his deckhand, Russia, did an awesome job of making sure we got the fish we were after and kept if fun and jovial the entire afternoon. Will totally repeat the next time we’re back in Key West.
