Eric was the perfect guide for a half day of fishing on the bay. He was super communicative leading up to the trip - answering all my questions promptly and friendly. His boat was a perfect for for my 13 year old son and I - and the San Diego Bay was beautiful and calm.

Eric is super knowledgable and he led us around the bay searching for action. The morning was slow at first, but Eric was relentless in his efforts to find where the fish were biting. About an hour in, things heated up and I had a blast watching my son reel in spotted sea bass, mackerel and some kind of scary looking needle fish. I did a little fishing too, but I was mainly there to support my son.

Best part for me - Eric does the dirty work. He takes each fish off the line and was constantly changing out lures for us looking for what was going to work best. On the second half of the day we used some of the bait fish we caught to try and land some bigger sharks or sting rays. We got one big bite, but lost the line in the fight. Finally my son was able to reel in a stingray - which proved to be the absolute highlight of our vacation for him.

Can’t recommend this trip - and Eric in particular - enough. A+++ for a memorable morning on the water. And then we spent the afternoon exploring the beautiful Coronado island - bonus!

We only had a 4 hour trip and he put us on the fish quick. Between two fly fishermen and one with spinning gear, we pulled in 5 or 6 different species and a good number of sea bass.
  The inshore waters are calm so nobody got seasick.

My kids had a great day catching a lot of fish. It was my 12 year old girls first time fishing and she caught 12 fish; my son caught 11 and a halibut,  We had fun.

Eric was a great guide for our family as he coached everyone to fish with proper technique and assisted by taking the fish off the hook. Also enjoyed being able to spend time on the bay

We had an excellent day of fishing with Captain Eric. Caught a variety of fish species including halibut and spotted sand bass. Top knotch equipment made it easy and enjoyable to catch fish.
