I am a native of south Florida and an Army veteran. I Grew up fishing in south Florida with my father and grand father. I grew up near the water so fishing after school was a daily event. I have been making my living fishing for the past 15 years and before that as a marine mechanic. I love taking people fishing, whether beginner or old salt I have a blast.
Techniques
Flying live baits from a kite or trolling ballyhoo and artificial lures are the primary techniques I employ. I do like to drop a shark bait while drifting and catching monster fish. Bottom fishing for grouper and snapper is a great way to put some filets on the grill.

cooler weather is approaching and the fishing should heat up. Starting to catch more Wahoo and sailfish. The picture is from yesterday, a couple nice 35 pound wahoo. You can expect to catch Sailfish Tuna wahoo kingfish and some nice Dolphin/Mahi in the next 2 months.

This is the time to catch that sailfish and take it off your bucket list. Sailfish action has been consistent. We have been getting multiple bites on half day trips. Some days the wind has been blowing which causes the seas to kick up but these are the better days to fish for sails. We can still catch sailfish on calm days but I prefer a little wind to fly the fishing kite.

this first week of June has not been disappointing. every trip has produced a nice bag of fish. plenty of tuna, king mackerel, dolphin, and hard fighting Bonitas. Morning trips have been the best.

Fishing has been up and down but the sailfish have been constant. We caught 2 yesterday and lost 3 others. There have been some Dolphin and Wahoo in the mix as well.. King Mackerel should start showing up in better numbers in the next few weeks.
