its august and the big blacken tunas are still around. normally they move on in June. there are some big kings coming over the side and a sailfish thrown into the mix. Mahi Mahi season is upon us and there are plenty around right now.

Captain Tom has won the award for the top sailfish tagging captain in the Atlantic ocean by the Billfish Foundation. Catching and tagging more sailfish than any other boat in the Atlantic. All of the fish were caught by customers who chartered captain tom throughout the year. Come catch sailfish with captain Tom and help him win the award again this year.

Sailfish are showing up in good numbers. We will start catching them through early may. Lots of kingfish as well. A few Mahi still around and the tunas are making their presence known.

The Sailfish are here and we are catching them. All last week we were having multiple shots at sailfish. I prefer to tag and release these fish to fight again another day. Some people like to kill them and eat them. I have eaten them and can tell you they are not that good. I would rather eat a hot dog. Mixed in with the sailfish are wahoo, tuna, dolphin and kingfish. summertime brings calm seas and plenty of dolphin /mahi. weediness form up in the Gulf Stream and the baitfish follow the weeds and then the dolphin follow the bait. book a 5 hour trip and have plenty of time to cash in on the summertime fishing.

right now there are some nice dolphin around. a 53 pounder was caught in a tournament this past Saturday. the fish come and go in waves and this wave has plenty of good sized fish in it.
