It was a beautiful sunny morning in mid-October, probably one of the last warm days of the year — a perfect opportunity to sail along the Tagus River and enjoy some fishing. For us, one adult and two kids, it was a truly memorable experience. We caught several fish and soaked up the morning sun in a peaceful and fun setting. Captain Afonso was an outstanding host — friendly, helpful, and incredibly patient with the children, teaching them the basics of fishing and making the whole experience even more enjoyable and valuable. I highly recommend Captain Afonso and Lisbon Fish to anyone looking for a relaxing, educational, and family-friendly activity in Lisbon.

Alfonso was a great skipper. Very professional and attentive to helping with the fishing lines, friendly and very social, and did a great job handling the boat.

We had a fantastic trip and caught many and varied fish. Alfonso is very experienced and both he and George are generally just good humans who are jice to be with. We were happy to spend the morning on the water with them and would recomend them to anyone. Our boys - 13 & 14 really enjoyed the experience, particularly our angler.

We booked two fishing trips with Captain Afonso in Lisbon as a group of five, most of us with no prior fishing experience. Both times were fantastic! On our first trip, conditions were tough with lots of wind and waves, and we only caught two small sea trout. Still, Afonso kept the atmosphere fun, explained the basics of fishing, and made sure we enjoyed ourselves. The boat and gear are more than sufficient and well suited for the sea.

What really impressed us was Afonso himself - he’s a generous, great guy. Since our first trip wasn’t very successful (as fishing is always a gamble), he offered us a second trip at only the cost of the fishing license. That time we had incredible success, catching plenty of fish, with the highlight being a Kruger fish.
All in all, a great experience with a captain who truly cares about his guests. Highly recommended!

Would highly recommend Lisbon Fish to anyone visiting Lisbon wanting to catch a local variety! Captain Alfonso communicated with us before and after the trip making our lives easier.  On the boat he quickly set us up for success and explained how to jig off the bottom for us. When we transitioned to bait off the bottom he baited us very quickly so we could keep on catching more fish. We were able to catch sea trout and Kruger! During the trip we had great conversation about fishing, life, and local recommendations. Overall Captain Alfonso is great dude and fisherman! Would recommend 👍🏻
