Captain Alex made the trip for the four of us. He is a funny, fun, experienced, and good guy. He got us on fish and explains everything, teaching us. This trip had the preamble to be dismal. Slow bite,  unfavorable conditions, eratic weather,... but Capt Alex did a phenomenal job and put us on some amazing fish.  Family oriented. If you haven’t fished in Destin, you should. And when you do, definitely go out with Alex. Last night, we went out with Alex for the second consecutive day, this time a 2-hr evening shark trip. We caught 2 giant (9ft and 14ft) sandbar sharks and we lost a third one in between the two we got to the boat. We spent literally every minute of the trip pulling them in. My 17 year old son and I had never fished offshore before.  Captain Alex Short had us on fish immediately.  We had a King Mackerel on 10 minutes into the trip.
