Just wanted to follow up per our quick discussion a few moments ago on the phone. Few quick notes, being late and almost being late are two completely different situations. We wake up everyday at 5am to go catch bait. CATCH bait ourselves as any good captain would and should do. Kyle txted you at 7:39 saying he was on the way and arrived at 7:48. 12 minutes before the trip even was suppose to start. As Kyle approached the dock he had a livewell full of shiners. As we were departing from the dock he asked what would make the trip successful in your eyes to see if we could tailor the trip around your wants. You explained keeping fish was a priority so Kyle proactively spent 6 extra minutes going to the bait shop to get shrimp also. To have a secondary bait choice for snapper which is the best bait right now for them. Fast forward to spot #1, since the game plan had switch slightly with your response to our success question Kyle tied on 3 different jig heads that we find leading to a successful rate with a jig shrimp combo for the snapper. We did have one rod go down which was unfortunate. We can only bring sooo many rods before we look like we’re a west marine! We do use top tier gear but fishing 365 days a year things break. Especially with the salt water. Lastly, we departed our last spot at 1139 to go fillet a numerous amount of fish. We were over 45 minutes from the dock and to be fair to the next group we made the decision to head in. That’s how our charters and all other charter captains run their operation no one fishes a true 4 hrs that’s just the reality of the charter. With us or anyone else. We successfully completed your request to take home fish, caught plenty of others that we through back ( snook, red fish, flounder etc). So I’m sitting here kindve confused on why we would not be recommended. The only point that was made worth noting is a rod broke. Obviously that doesn’t happen every trip bummer it happened on yours. To take it to the next level check out the pics I’m attaching as I took that to heart and went a purchased 6 brand new setups for the next set of clients! Hopefully you will try us again!
