    Half Day with Captain Matt (Southern Roots Fishing Charters)

    4 Hour Trip – Inshore

    We have used Southern Roots Fishing Charters for the last couple of years and always have a great time. Captain Matt is always well prepared, is very professional and always has a plan of action based on the conditions. If you are staying in Sea Pines, you cannot ask for a better location right off the Harbour Town pier.

    Great Day on the Water !!

    4 Hour Trip – Inshore

    In August our group of 4 went on a 1/2-day charter fishing excursion with Captain Matt, we had an amazing time. Matt put us right on the fish. The boat is super nice, very clean. Matt is an expert captain and knew right where to go to find the fish. Everybody is still talking about what a fun day it was. We're planning to book again soon. The waters around HHI are gorgeous and the great fishing made it that much more special. I highly recommend Southern Roots Fishing Charters! Matt said he's lived his whole life in the HHI area and has been on the water since a small child. His knowledge of the waters was invaluable. If you want a great day fishing, definitely go out with Captain Matt.

    This charter was a great way yo see the local waterways and catch some fun Redfish. Captain Matt did a great job hosting our group and putting us on the fish. Will definitely being booking Captain Matt next time to catch some local fish.

    very different experience

    2 Hour Trip – Kids - 10:00 AM • 4 adults

    We have done many charters and this one was very different. No fish, no conversations, no humor and no fun! Highlight was being out on the water.

    I remember trying to give you guys extra time and to make the best of it but you guys were not willing to let me do that nor willing to switch things up and go for sharks to get a bite. Some times the bite is slow and that is a part of fishing not allowing your guide to switch it up or give extra time is a sure way to be disappointed. I wouldve loved the chance to do that. But hey that is why it is called fishing….
