We have been deep sea fishing before but not in this area. I would recommend this charter for families with kids. We got to take our little boy on his 1st fishing charter and he had a blast. Captain Dave and John were friendly and laid back. We would book with them again! Thanks guys!!

We booked a four hour trolling trip with Tell’ntails Charter as a boys trip to celebrate my son’s enlistment into the Army. Captain David and first mate Chilton made sure my boys had a great time. Chilton took the time to explain to my boys how the equipment worked and what to expect as this was our first time on this type of fishing trip. Chilton worked hard to make sure my boys had every opportunity to fish as long as possible during the four hours by keeping the lines ready for them and the next. Captain David did a great job keeping us on the fish. This was a trip of a lifetime for my boys and I. Thanks again Captain David and Chilton!

I booked a 10 hour fishing trip on TellnTails for my son’s 16th birthday, and it was awesome!  We had perfect weather all day and Captain David Carr and his deckhand Chilton could not have been better.  David puts you on the fish and Chilton works really hard to make sure you maximize your fishing time.  We especially appreciated how Chilton clearly explained everything we needed to know about the fishing gear and how to use it.  With all of their knowledge and experience (and the longer day of fishing), we were able to try different fishing techniques, which resulted in catching a lot of fish and a wide variety of fish species.  Trying to remember them all, and in no particular order, we caught a king mackerel, a gag grouper, a huge black snapper (29”), a triple tail (released, too small), an amberjack (released, just barely too small, but man did it put up a fight!), over a dozen mahi, lots of vermillion snapper, lots of white snapper, red snapper (released, out of season), and lots of big triggerfish (released, out of season).  My son also reeled in an 8-9’ shark, which was released when it go up to the boat.  One of the highlights of the day was when we lucked into the school of mahi on our way back in.  We got to cast spoons for them and it was really cool to watch them chase the lures.  They are incredibly beautiful fish and really fast.  If you are looking to have the best opportunity to catch fish and have a great time doing it, look no further.  You’ve found your boat.

Jon Jon the deck hand did a wonderful job.  The weather wasn’t great at first and he and the captain adapted the plan so we had a great time.  Fishing for red snapper on the bottom was very exciting.

Definitely plan to do it again!

One of our better fishing trips! I always look first at charters with the best reviews, and this one did not disappoint. Both David and John were great and very professional…they know what they’re doing for sure! Would highly recommend this charter!!
