I grew up in the New Jersey shore area and I have loved fishing since I was a kid. I have been fishing for more than 30 years in the waters of the Manasquan Inlet, and anywhere from New York to Cape May. Fishing tournaments are my passion, and I have participated in numerous local competitions. When it comes to the winnings, one of the most unforgettable ones was catching a 456 lb Mako Shark in Jersey Coast Shark Anglers (JCSA) Mako Tournament in 1995. I am also the president of Greater Point Pleasant Charter Boat Association, RFA, NJOA, and NACO, and a former president of Jersey Coast Shark Anglers. My goal is to make sure that both my guests and my crew have an amazing time while fishing together.

I wanted to do something special with my son who woud be leaving soon for National Guard. With lots of charter choices selected Megan Beth in Point Pleasant. Both were a relly good choice. Captain Dan & Chris were both very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful teaching us about how to find fish, the type of fish, handling the reel, removing the hook, filleting and icing the fish. Anyone looking to fish off the Jersey Shore, Point Pleasant and Megan Beth Sport Fishing is a great choice.

Captain Dan and his deckhand Bill were fantastic! They are very knowledgeable about the area and knew how to fish for what was biting. They gave my brothers and I very personalized and friendly fishing experience and we had a blast! We all agreed, we would definitely recommend the Megan Beth to anyone looking to have a great time fishing! We will definitely be back for another trip in the future. Thanks Captain Dan!

Captain Dan and Chris are the best! Our family of 6 including 10 and 13 yr old boys and 74 yr old grandmom had a wonderful 1/2 day fishing trip on the Megan Beth. We caught lots of blue fish, sea bass and ling. The boat is very well appointed and stocked with top of the line fishing gear. We’ll definitely fish with Captain Dan again!

Best Father’s Day Trip

I wanted to take my dad out for Father’s day and this was the best bang for your buck. the 8 hour ride was great and we caught multiple different kinda of fish. Highly recommend Dan and his crew!
