If you want to explore the Garden State in a completely different way, Megan Beth Sportfishing will take you on an adventure of a lifetime. Captain Dan McGivney will show you the hottest inshore and offshore game that Point Pleasant Beach can offer.

Climb aboard his 38’ Henriques Sport Fisherman powered by twin 375 HP Caterpillar engines capable of developing a cruising speed of 21 knots. The vessel was fully restored in 2018 and can accommodate up to 6 anglers of all experience levels.

When it comes to the equipment, this boat has it all - GPS, radar, sonar, fishfinder, liferaft, EPIRB, live bait tank, and ice-boxes. It also has a comfy salon, air-conditioning, AM/FM stereo, full bathroom and a kitchen with a microwave.

Inshore or offshore, the captain will show you the most productive saltwater spots teeming with various species. You’ll have the opportunity to catch the delicious Tautog and Seabass, or if you prefer big game - go after Tuna or Sharks. If you’re looking for a real adventure, Megan Beth Sportfishing can take you deep sea fishing up to 50 miles from the coast.

Live bait is included in the price, and you’ll be catching it during the trip. Quantum rods and reels, lures, and catch cleaning and filleting are also provided free of charge. There is no age limit - this charter offers an unforgettable experience for kids, beginners, and pro anglers. All aboard!

It’s fishing…
1/2 Day Specials on September 7, 20254 adults1 child
Captain Dan and Chris were great. Weather didn’t cooperate for the short weekend we had. Had to cancel the Saturday trip due to weather and ended up rescheduling for Sunday. Boat was nice and clean with good sonar and plotter. Put us on fish and bait. Bite wasn’t on for the spread. We trolled for albie and bonito per my request. Very busy seas with heavy rain on and off. The group wasn’t all seasoned anglers. My grandson especially. Only his second time on the ocean and he became a little green around the gills! Chris kept his spirits up as best he could. All and all I would definitely go out again with Captain Dan and Chris. Also I left a couple lures at the rental house I wanted to run, all my fault, especially a Speed Pro 160 Deep in mackerel. Pulled the trebles it came with and rigged with a single j-hook out back. Just one of those days.

First Time Flukers Wowed by Megan Beth
Full Day Trip - Inshore on August 4, 20252 adults
I chartered the Megan Beth to take four family members who had never been fluke fishing before. Not only did Captain Dan and his mate put us on the fish, they were personable, helpful, and educated the first time flukers on how to catch them. We boated 50+ fluke in the course of our 8 hour trip with 8 large enough to go in the ice chest. The Megan Beth is exceptionally clean and well equipped for comfortable fishing. The Clarks Landing Marina is the cleanest marina I think I have ever been too. Definitely a plus for fishermen who want to bring the wife and kids along. Overall, I can't think of anything the Megan Beth lacked as far as my expectations for a charter. I give her Five Stars!

Excellent time!
1/2 Day Specials on June 10, 20252 adults3 children
We had a wonderful trip with Captain Dan. He clearly knew his stuff. He and his mate took us to exactly where the fish were, and we caught numerous bass within seconds of putting out lines in. They especially took special care to let our younger kids (ages 6 and 9) do as much as they safely could. My 6 yr old walked away thinking he caught the most keepers of anyone ;). Recommend anti-motion sickness meds for anyone who might be at risk (or precautionary if not known). It’s easy and will ensure the best trip possible! Looking forward to eating out catch tonight (meticulously cleaned by the first mate)!!

Fun Time
Full Day Trip - Inshore on May 20, 20256 adults
We went out for sea bass. Weather was a bit windy so we could not stay out at 7 miles but needed to move closer to shore. Captain Dan and First Mate Chris did a great job putting us on fish. The currents were crazy but they kept adjusting the boat to keep us over the fish. We did not tag out with keepers but were almost always pulling up fish no matter where we went. We will use them again hopefully for some larger fish with more fight. We all had a great time and they did everything they could to make the best out of not the best conditions. Thanks for a great day!!!

Dan & Ken & about 200 Sea Bass!
6 hour striper special on October 26, 20256 adults
This was the best fishing trip our family has ever taken. We were reeling in keepers the minute we dropped our lines in. Dan & Ken were so helpful, with tips, tricks, explanations the entire time. They even gave us some fun recipes for all the fish we got to take home. We will definitely be back. Our day could not have been better.
