First of all, Elsey was an amazing captain who was super friendly and knowledgeable.
I brought in a sailfish within the first 10 min of the trip. Next, a large barracuda. After a few more hours of trolling, we decided to move to the reef where we pulled in a bunch more barracuda and a horse eye jack.

Elsey cleaned the cuda for us and suggested we bring it to Pelican Sunset to cook it for us. Great call!

I would definitely recommend Elsey and will book him again next time I’m in Caye Caulker.

We are staying on the north side of Caye Caulker.  The captain met us right at our own dock. We first went for some live bait. He found a spot and cast his net and caught a bunch of sardines.  We were impressed with how easily he was able to round up some live bait.
Then we were off and on our way.  There were huge waves to get past as we were trying to get past the reef for some deep water fishing.  He did a great job, and we felt very safe. Once we were in deep water, he set up trolling lines. It was an enjoyable ride as he went along trying to hook some bigger fish. Unfortunately no one told the fish that we were going to be there today.  We then headed for a different spot to do some bottom fishing.  We caught a massive mutton snapper.  He was very helpful.  We don’t have much experience with this type of fishing. Once we were all finished for the morning,  he headed back to our dock, and he cleaned and filleted our catch. He was great. He has been doing this for over 20 years and it shows. Highly recommend!

Went to go deep sea fishing but the wind was not in our favour . We chose to do a day of reef fishing . Had so much fun and caught a variety of fish. Our captain was very knowledgeable and just an all around great person. Very friendly and polite. Once we were done fishing we cleaned them by the tarpon feeding dock and all the big fish knew it was snack time. We had some of our catch fillet and then straight to the restaurant we went. Esley recommended a place to use and even dropped us off at the restaurants dock. Overall great experience and would highly recommend anyone who wants to have a great day on the water regardless of weather . 11/10.

This was our second time in Belize, but first time staying in Caye Caulker.  Booked the trip way in advance without any issues. Original trip was for December 2nd, but Esley suggested we move it to the following day due to high winds which we had no problem with.  From the moment we met Esley we found him extremely friendly and knowledgeable. He fished along side us and was able to get us on a good amount of fish. He also cleaned them how I requested.  Overall great experience and I highly recommend this trip. Book with Esley, you will not be disappointed.  Thank you for memories that will last a life time.

This was a great trip for myself and my husband. We fished the reef after Esley netted fresh sardines for our live bait. We caught a variety of fish: barracuda, Spanish mackeral, needlefish, yellow Jack and a larger variety of Jack with big eyes!!! So cool! Esley also pointed out a loggerhead turtle that was huge…and he taught us how to look for and harvest conch… they were big and beautiful.
He was a great guide for us and we really enjoyed our morning trip with him…additionally he picked us up promptly from our hotel dock, had comfy cushions to sit on and ice cold drinks as well. One more thing… he cleaned and prepared the Jack fish I took with me, some of which were cooked at Esters outdoor BBQ down the street for our lunch and the rest is going to Freddie our security guard here at our hotel (Jan’s hotel)…
