Esley Usher Fishing - Agua Mala 

It was ah-mazing. We knew from recommendations that Esley was a Caye Caulker treasure and the best at his passion of angling in the gorgeous Belize waters. Esley picked us up at our hotel dock at 8 a.m. sharp, and took us to a mangrove well north of the split where he cast a net and caught our live bait for the day. Esley is patient, knowledgeable, and kind. My son caught his dream fish - two feisty barracuda and 1 mahi-mahi (which Esley cleaned for us at the dock to have our hotel chef for our dinner). But! The best fishing moment of our lives was when we caught a trophy-sized blue marlin. It put up a non-stop fight for its life; breaching the water and then diving deep under the boat. With expert help maneuvering the boat and guidance, and a 2 hour fight, we brought the 250-300lb, 10-foot-long blue marlin to the side of the boat, removed the hook, and released the most magnificent creature we have ever seen. We can’t recommend Esley enough and will definitely be back. Do not hesitate to book this incredible captain and his boat. He is the best in Belize! Thank you, Esley

We really didn't expect to make this trip, we had to reschedule a few times due to outside reasons. We finally hooked up with Esley yesterday and could not be more thrilled with the results. For most of the day we were hooking into Bonito 2 or 3 at a time.. Once the late afternoon bite hit though it was on, first the Barracuda then the Wahoo, amazing fight, amazing adventure, amazing memory!! Thanks again for all the hard work, flexibility, and knowledge!!

we had such a great day fishing! started the day trolling and caught barracuda and a few other fishes. then went on to look for snapper and seemed to find everything but those, but had fun reeling up what was biting on our bait. the snorkeling for lobster was fun, too! in the end, Elsy fileted up some of the fish and recommend some of the local restaurants that would cook it up for us. recommend Esly for a great day of fishing!

We had a great trip, picked up at our home for the week. We didn’t know we were doing anything outside of Lobster and he got us into a bunch of barracuda and snapper too (writing this with a very full and happy belly) fantastic and knowledgeable guide

esley came to our dock to pick us up. we did a full day deepsea. getting out past the reef was tricky due to larger than normal waves. Once we got out there it was game on. we ended up cathcing 12 fish. mahi mahi and barracuda. once we docked, Esley filleted one of our fish so we could take it to Reinas and have it cooked for us. All in all, a great time fishing.

Captain Usher went above and beyond on this full day fishing and snorkeling trip. We started with him netting herring for bait, then caught fish, and he filleted them for us to take home. We snorkeled on the coral reef, visited the marine sanctuary with nurse sharks and rays, then fed the tarpons back at the dock (my whole fist was in the tarpon's mouth! But it only ate the herring I held up for it.)

we had the best time! Esley was wonderful, and helped us catch lots of barracuda & snappers.

the combo fishing trip offered a variety that made the trip memorable. both trolling and bottom fishing, followed by snorkeling for conchs and fresh ceviche made on the boat off the conchs we collected, finally catching some lobsters that we had cooked at the restaurant when we returned. i will do this trip again in the future.

Such a great trip! The Captain was so kind and made sure to make our day on the water a great one. It was very cool to be able to fish, catch, and snorkel all in one trip 🙂. Thanks so much for a wonderful experience!!
