- Background
- As a small child I went with my grandfather in his Chris-Craft to catch Strippers on the Chesapeake Bay. At home, I would walk over to the University of Maryland golf course to catch Sunfish and Blue gills from the ponds that dotted the course. When I was old enough to drive I spent summers fishing for Flounder off the bridges as you enter Ocean City, Md. My next move was to Boulder, Colorado where I caught Rainbow Trout from the stream that flows into the Celestial Seasonings Tea company Lake. Fishing in the late 70's took me to Pennsylvania, where the streams were filled with Walleye and Trout that loved Rooster Tails so my car always had a collapsible rod and tackle just in case I saw a pond to try my hand. No fishing travels would be complete without time spent fishing in the Keys from my 17 ft Boston Whaler. So this final fishing trip brings you to my home, Eden Wind Farm. My 5 acre lake is stocked with Bass, Bream, and Black Crappie. Come and swap stories with me!
- Techniques
- We always have Night crawlers available but artificial lures work great on the Bass. A lizard lure, a rat lure, a big rubber crayfish are irresistible to them. Spinner-baits, rubber worms and even fly rod lures can catch a big one. When its hot they are down deep so dragging a rubber shad across the bottom can catch their attention.
