Despite having a slower day of fishing, my dad and I had a lot of fun experiencing the mangroves with captain Kyle. Sometimes the fishing is just slow and thats not the captains fault (seemed like a bunch of other boats that day were not catching much), but Kyle was a friendly guy, had good equipment, and was very helpful. From the mangroves to nearshore waters and diverse underwater structures, we experienced the full spectrum of Islamorada fishing. The water was stunningly blue, and the captain clearly explained everything we were seeing along the way. We caught and saw a wide variety of fish, along with a Portuguese man o’ war and even a bald eagle. No trip to Islamorada is complete without a fishing charter with Captain Kyle.

Capt. Kyle was awesome and gave us a great fishing experience around the Keys. He focused on making sure my 2 boys (11 & 7 years of age) were setup to fish and was patient explaining everything they needed to know for catching the fish. My 18yo son and I went out for 6 hours with Capt Kyle Jan 3. This was out first time fishing Islamorada. We had a blast! He is competent in his boating and navigation skills as well as understanding of the conditions, what fish are biting, and how and where to catch them. He has a great personality and fun taste in music. We look forward to fishing with him in the future.
