Captain Austin grew up charter fishing with his uncle around 2010 and started working as a mate for him. He worked with his uncle up until the time he was old enough to obtain his Captain's License and has been running charters ever since. There is nothing Captain Austin enjoys more than putting clients on fish and helping them have a great trip.
Techniques
Captain Austin does all different kinds of fishing but he mostly does trolling, both trolling for Kingfish with live bait or trolling for bigger pelagics offshore with ballyhoo. He also likes to use some other styles of fishing as well, such as high-speed trolling for Wahoo, kite fishing for Kingfish, and also jigging for Grouper, Snapper, and African Pompano. There are so many different styles of fishing in the world that he feels like there is always something new to learn.

As we start to transition into our normal summer pattern, the mahi and other pelagic fish start to move out. There are still some hanging around, but as the move out the grouper start to move in. Captain Brian took these guys out in search of mahi, wahoo and tuna. They did not have red hot action but they succeeded in catching one of every species! Once the trolling action slowed they slid inshore a few miles and caught some bottom fish to round out the box. They had a great day out on the ocean and hopefully we will see them back soon! We have been so busy lately and I have just been terrible about posting, however fishing has been great! Captain Keith had a great 4 hour nearshore trip with some young kids that wanted some action. They started out trolling for Spanish mackerel and ended up catching enough for dinner. After that they decided to see if they couldn't wrangle some sharks, and that they did! Our charter today was a guy that we normally take out once a year and he always seems to luck out with the weather and fishing. This morning he showed up but the rest of his crew didnโ€™t make it. No worries, we still headed offshore. Upon arrival I knew fishing was going to be good. Conditions were perfect and the fish were everywhere! We caught mahi all day. We had a great day out on the water, we fished in the 90 - 110 foot range and had non stop action all day! Tons of big red snapper, a couple grouper, plenty of vermillion snapper and triggerfish. The fishing is hot right now!

These guys wanted to go tug on some fish and we certainly did that! We ran out to 90 feet of water and dropped some live baits down to the bottom. It was non stop action, they yanked on big red snapper, amberjacks and gag grouper. They pulled on fish until they had enough.
