Recently completed Erie ProOH Guide Certification. I've been fishing Erie since I was a young man and was thrilled to take over the boat I have fished on. I'm your Captain who still loves to fish and teach others how to catch them.

    Great time. Even better Captain!!!!

    8 Hour Trip – Walleye6 adults

Man Oh Man. Booked a fishing charter with For Weasels Too charters out of Port Clinton on June 8. Booked a hotel for the 7th. Weather was looking great until 2 days before trip. The captain, David Slavensky, and I discussed canceling. It was too late to cancel hotel so we decided to go anyhow. So glad we did. The Good Lord was kind enough to bring the rain from 1 am to 5:30 am. By the time we got on the boat at 6 am, rain was gone. But, not without a price. The lake was a bit upset. 4-5 foot waves. IT WAS ROUGH! We all took Dramamine except for ‘Legs’ (Bub’s new nickname). Didn’t work out for him at first. We could barely stand up. The captain put us on the fish tho. Sis landed one on the first cast! Big Sis was the champ of the day. She by far caught the most. Captain Dave was amazing. I bet that dude did 175 laps around that boat. Top notch fisherman and captain. Then one of the craziest things I’ve been a part of happened. Another boat nearby started taking on water. Without hesitation the captain was giving advice and when he realized the problem, sprung into action. We gave them buckets to bail water. 7 guys bailing as fast as they could, but with the water still 2 foot and rising and the coast guard 35 minutes away, we received permission to allow them to board our boat. The lake was still pissed. 5-7 foot waves. We got all aboard except the captain and watched as the coast guard pumped out the water and hooked up the tow boat. Now to get the guys on the coast guard boat was something else. Major props to Big Dave and the CG captain. She drove that thang like a boss! After the rescue he put us right back on the fish. With all the excitement, Son and Daughter were able to bounce back from sea sickness and we started bringing them in. We limited out, had a blast, and saved some lives. Awesome, Awesome time!!!

    Two-day walleye fishing trip

    8 Hour Trip – Walleye

We started fishing with Weasel too (Captain David Slavensky) in 2022. We always look forward to our yearly fishing trip with him. My team has the highest confidence in Dave that he will work hard putting us on the fish. We been with him for 3 years now, and I already have 2025 scheduled. Dave is very friendly to fish with, very knowledgeable, helpful, always prepared, and on time. We would recommend him 100%.!!!!! Always a good time.

What's biting with For Weasels Too Charters in Port Clinton

The prime areas on the shallow reefs close to deep water can easily give you your limit of catches. Troll or drift fish for Walleye. And don't forget about Yellow Perch and Bass – there are some big specimens swimming around in search of their next meal.
