👎-WOW - Only a 3 Star Review even after catching a limit of big BEAUTIFUL 25-30 pound Redfish, Shark and a variety of inshore fish. WOW- after 27 years in the charter “fishing” industry I have NEVER had anyone write a 3 star review after catching a limit of any species of fish along with other big Sharks. Very sorry to hear that you were disappointed with your 4 hour charter. As with all of my 4 hour charters I do not run much further out than the areas that we fished during your trip which was one of the toughest days I experienced on the water that week. As with your comment “cast towards the cat tractor” you had the right, honor and privilege as my client to cast anywhere you wanted I simply recommended casting in that direction because there IS a shallow sandbar that reaches out approximately 50 feet off the bank in that area that I have caught MANY fish there in the past 20 plus years.  I am a “Fishing Charter” at times I along with ALL other professional charter captains I know do experience tough days on the water as we did on your trip like I am sure your “previous charters you also mentioned” have as well. I guess this is why we are called Fishing Charters instead of “Catching Charters” good luck to you and your next charter experience and I truly hope you can fill the fish box - you may want to book a longer trip than a 4 hour if you are wanting to go “out farther”.  No where in my trip descriptions do I say OR advertise “ Deep Sea Fishing” as you titled your two photos !  Thank you for taking a moment to write a review, Capt Scott

Thank you for taking a moment to write a review.  July 29 -your trip date was the second prettiest day that we had seen here on the Mississippi Coast after 8 straight days of Heavy Rains, High Winds and Very Rough Sea Conditions-it was also just after Hurricane Hanna hit the Texas Coast line covering most of the Gulf of Mexico with heavy rain and dropping 8 straight days of very heavy rain fall here on the Mississippi Gulf Coast-your trip was also my 2nd day to be back on the water running fishing charters after having to cancel a total of 8 straight charter trips in a row due to small craft advisories, high winds and heavy rains (around 12 inches in total) that Hurricane Hanna dumped on the MS Coast. On my charter the day before yours my clients landed some Beautiful Redfish all in the 20-35 pound range along with lots of pan frying size fish-the very next day after your trip my clients landed a limit of big Redfish and released several big Jack Crevalle in the 20-35 pound range they also caught several other smaller species of fish all within 4 miles from my dock. Your charter was simply one of the days in which the Fish were hard to find even after fishing many locations. Unfortunately most charter captains that I know all have pretty tough days of fishing while on charter trips with clients now and then even after fishing my local waters now for over 35 years and being in the charter fishing business for 25 years I often struggle finding fish for my clients now and then-Especially after several days of high winds, a foot or so of heavy rain and rough seas that stir the water up and scatter fish from the area. I do wish that each of my clients could catch box fulls of fish on every trip each and every time I drop my anchor to fish - I guess this is why it’s called fishing instead of catching and fishing charters instead of catching charters - unfortunately all captains that I know have tough days on the water every now and then. All Captains struggled to find fish on this day after speaking with other charter captains that evening and the next day. I wanted the fish just as much OR more than you did I Promise You !
