Evan, was straight forward telling us that the chances of catching any trout were low due to the Hurricane and time of year.  He was very patient helping myself and my wife how to fly fish. He also told us about some great places to view some local waterfalls.  Although we didn’t catch any fish it was still worth it to spend the day on the water.  Will definitely book a trip with Evan on our next visit to Asheville!

I fished with Evan for 3 days and he was fantastic.  We always caught numerous fish and he was very knowledgeable about the river.  He was patient and kind even when we kept getting snagged on the bedrock in the river.  The most important thing was that as a woman he was willing to take me out fishing.  I tried numerous companies and they did not seem to be interested in taking a women fishing.  So ladies if you want to go fishing I would 100% recommend Evan.  He will make sure you catch... We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and guide. Evan was so patient and knowledgeable. Thoughtful with his preparations to accommodate the day. My son couldn’t stop thanking me all evening, with Evans assistance he helped my boy land 10 trout, and a few different species of them was icing on the cake. Fishing was tough, but we were able to learn to fly fish, which my son thoroughly enjoyed. We were unable to fish the rivers due to the devastation from Hurricane Helene last summer. We did find a hidden gym of a secluded lake up in the mountains though. Evan was great and his knowledge of the area are probably unmatched.
