- Captain Doug Collison aka “Dougie” - I grew up on the Chesapeake Bay, its tributaries, and the Atlantic Ocean fishing and crabbing. After many years of working as a welder, I made the switch to full-time commercial fisherman/Charter Captain in 2010. I hold a valid USCG Master Captain license and commercial fishing/crabbing licenses. There’s nothing I would rather do than spend each day on the water, waiting for the next rod to bend. I purchased the Backdraft in 2022 from Captain Charlie Sisson. I have been working with Captain Charlie as his mate/relief Captain since 2014. When he made the hard decision to take a step back I was honored to continue his legendary service. I hope to make your charter fishing experience a great one and hold myself and my crew to a high standard of safety and cleanliness. I am happy to answer any questions about amenities or safety gear.
