This trip was bittersweet as we used to fish with my father before he passed away.  Back on the water with Nate as our guide was so much fun!!  I didn’t know what to expect, but he was determined to make sure we were successful.  Nate had the best stories to tell and got an earful from me too.😝 Thank you Nate for being so down to earth and helping me and my son have a fun day at the end of a fishing rod!  Thank you for fielding all of the fish questions and teaching us along the way.  Nate knows his stuff…if you’re ready to go, give him a call!

The 18’ Alumacraft boat was spotless, stable, and clearly well maintained. Powered by a Yamaha engine, it handled the lakes beautifully and there was plenty of room for our group to fish comfortably. I really appreciated the high quality rods, reels, lures he supplied.

My 15 year old son and I had never fished for northern pike or walleye before, so when we went on vacation in Minnesota, I looked at the reviews of fishing charter operators near where we were staying and found Nate’s listing along with his reviews.  Since they were all 5 star ratings, we decided to go with him.  We are really glad we did too, because when we got to Nate’s first fishing hole, my son and I together caught 19 decent sized smallmouth bass and 1 big walleye.  Nate could hardly keep up with us because he was busy baiting our hooks or pulling hooks out of fish that we had caught.  We even caught some nice size northern pike which were absolutely beautiful fish.  Nate proved that he knows how to work with people that are inexperienced fishermen, as well as those that are very experienced.  He took my inexperienced 15 year old son under his wing and patiently taught him how to fish like a pro.  My son and I have done some bass and catfish fishing where we live in Tennessee, but we’ve never caught fish as fast and in the large numbers as we caught fish with Nate.  My son I I did a 6 hour charter and at the end of the day we had a good laugh together before we went to bed, because our arms were sore from all the reeling we did bringing in the fish.  Thank you, Nate! We will be back!

Nate is a great guy and a great guide. He worked with us on meeting points and was on top of the weather. We dodged the storms both days. He kept us on fish the whole time. He knew the “spots”, and techniques. We did two 8 hour trips and were constantly on fish. His prices are below others in the area. We caught our target species, walleye, northern pike, and smallmouth. If you want to catch fish, I highly recommend Nate Berg.
