The past week winds have been blowin! We Finally got a day to get out yesterday on Lake okeechobee as we had a small window of calm weather. My customers caught plenty of bass all on artificial baits, and the window shut on us in time for us to go in for the day. Today the winds still a blowin so we stayed in and around the smaller lakes and canal systems where we could get out of the wind. Plenty of bass and some clown knife fish are still biting good. We are just starting to see a few peacock bass starting to show back up after one of our coldest winters south Florida has seen in 15 years. Tomorrow and Saturday I will be fishing a tournament on Okeechobee. Looks like weโ€™ll have another small window of calmer winds the beginning of the week and forecasts are calling for 15 to 35 mph winds so we will be back on the smaller lakes and canals to hide from the winds. Last week we experienced some great bass fishing all on artificial baits catching numbers of bass from 2 to 5lbs. This week we had a March cold front come through and dropped the water temps from upper 70s back down to the lower 60s and we fished 20mph North winds that made the bite very tough. Hopefully this is our last cold front of the year. This weekend the weather forecastis is showing a turn around and the weather warming back up with the water temps in turn the bite should turn back on and bring more big bass back up shallow!

Lake Okeechobee is firing off with numbers and size! Customers are catching em on topwater swimjigs swimming worms hollowbody frogs rattletraps and flippin the grass. Should be some of the best fishing weโ€™ll see in the next couple months with the warmer weather.

This past week the weather warmed up and so did the bass fishing! Customers caught fish on swimjigs swimming worms popping frogs and pitching. We are coming into some of my favorite months of the year for bass fishing as winter is ending and spring is near should be some of the best fishing weโ€™ll see all year!

The weather and water temps are warming up and the bass fishing has picked up! This past week there was plenty of bass caught on artificial baits from 2 to 7lbs. The water level is coming down and the fish are up shallow which makes for some fun fishing. The weather forecast for the next week is showing more warm weather and should keep the bass biting!

The past week we have experienced some of the coldest cold fromts on Lake Okeechobee and the coldest water temps Iโ€™ve seen in a long time. The cold water temps has slowed the bass fishing down this week but we should start to see the bite picking up after this weekend as we have some warmer weather forecasted all next week. Capt. Rich
