Trip Summary
The past week winds have been blowin! We Finally got a day to get out yesterday on Lake okeechobee as we had a small window of calm weather. My customers caught plenty of bass all on artificial baits, and the window shut on us in time for us to go in for the day. Today the winds still a blowin so we stayed in and around the smaller lakes and canal systems where we could get out of the wind. Plenty of bass and some clown knife fish are still biting good. We are just starting to see a few peacock bass starting to show back up after one of our coldest winters south Florida has seen in 15 years.
Tomorrow and Saturday I will be fishing a tournament on Okeechobee. Looks like we’ll have another small window of calmer winds the beginning of the week and forecasts are calling for 15 to 35 mph winds so we will be back on the smaller lakes and canals to hide from the winds.
