Background: Started fishing in Campbell River as a kid around 16 years old and would take my dad’s boat out in front of town as I became old enough to run the boat on my own on the ocean. I more or less fell in love with fishing and got my first job at Painters Lodge guiding there for 8 years then bought my own boat and started doing guided trips out of Kyuquot Sound on the northwest coast of Vancouver Island. Was a huge commitment working on the West Coast for the whole summer in one shot as our season is short so yeah, have to work when the people come fishing. Now I’ve come back to Campbell River and bought a couple more boats and employed some really good guides that I worked with and have hand-selected them as some of the best fishing guides in Campbell River.
