My son and I drove up from Kansas City with the intent to catch salmon. Captain Josh told me at the start not to get my hopes up because Lake Superior is not the best for salmon. We caught 6 and a large lake trout to boot! We were very happy with the decision to book with Chasin Tail Charters.

Great captain and first mate super fun to fish with! Caught 9 Coho missed 4 and had nice laker up to the boat! Awesome experience! If you wanna catch fish and have a great time book this trip you know I’m going back!!!

I took my wife, daughter and Father out for a half day charter. Watched the weather and booked a nice calm day (7/5/24). The charter was great and organized. Captain did a great job running lines and entertaining. We caught a bunch of lakers and coho. Every king that saw the boat got intimidated and threw the hook. I filled the smoker with lake trout and grilled the ones that didn’t fit. Both turned out great. The coho is getting cooked up tonight with a nice glaze.

My wife surprised me for my 50th. Captain Joe and First Mate Corey knocked it out of the park. Very comfortable and well maintained boat and equipment. On the fish right away. Jokes, shared stories and knowledge of the fishery, and they worked their butts off to the last second to get us the last fish of our limit. Very professional and is there to make your experience worth it. My family gladly recommends Chasin’ Tail if you’re looking for a charter.

We have booked 1/2 day fishing trips with many charter boats across the Great Lakes, some good, some not so good, but captain Joseph and first mate Kerry are as good as it gets for charter boat fishing on Lake Superior. Great job and thank you for the great time on the water guys! We had our limit of Lake Trout within 2 hrs. Then we switched up and chased walleye for an hour before the trip was over. Many more bookings with these guys! BEST IN CLASS!
