The crew were very knowledgeable and patient. This was the first time my son fished from a boat, and the look on his face when he reeled in the first of many trout was priceless. The weather was perfect and I can’t think of a better way to spend a Friday. We had so much fun and can’t wait to go again.

We experienced weird weather and slow fishing, rom the fog, but Captain and crew stuck with it and eventually it paid off. A strange fog and looming 1000’ freighter made it interesting. Captain Joe hung around so we could see the freighter emerge from the fog, which was really cool.

Captain Joe & 1st Mate Corey did an outstanding job. Great music on the speakers. Great communicators. Great Equipment. Had 4 adults and 1 older child had plenty of room. Fishing was great. 16 fish on a full day trip.

I took my wife, daughter and Father out for a half day charter.  Watched the weather and booked a nice calm day (7/5/24).  The charter was great and organized.  Captain did a great job running lines and entertaining.  We caught a bunch of lakers and coho.  Every king that saw the boat got intimidated and threw the hook.  I filled the smoker with lake trout and grilled the ones that didn’t fit.  Both turned out great.  The coho is getting cooked up tonight with a nice glaze.

My son and I drove up from Kansas City with the intent to catch salmon. Captain Josh told me at the start not to get my hopes up because Lake Superior is not the best for salmon. We caught 6 and a large lake trout to boot! We were very happy with the decision to book with Chasin Tail Charters.
