We live in Texas and often to Bay Fishing off of the Gulf Coast. This trip off of Superior was so different; but so awesome! The boat was HUGE!!! and it had a great rig set up--- lots of poles going and very successful! We have never caught salmon before! It was delish as well :) The Captain and his Hand were wonderful with tips, tricks and recommendations around Duluth. Def made our trip to MN awesome.
My wife and our three young children went out for an afternoon trip with Captain Joe and his first mate Cam! They handled our sassy daughter and energetic smart a** boys very well with good banter and professionalism! They put us on fish in a July afternoon and was exactly what we were looking for and more with the kiddos along! We will definitely use them again when we are in the area!
We had 2 fish in less than 30 minutes. Know one else had any fish yet. It was a windy afternoon and Happy Hooker (Peter) torpedoed us head on so he could copy our route. Not good outcome. We had no choice to run over his planner board and rope ended up around our lines and down rigger cables. What a mess. We were left with no lines in water for a hour. Joe got us back on course and caught 5 more fish. If you don’t want to catch fish go with happy hooker. They came up empty! Great job Joe!!!
We had a great time on this charter! Captain and first mate knew what they were doing and making aure everyone had a good time! Was joking around and having fun with the whole group!
The conditions were not great for catching fish but they worked hard and made sure we caught something to take home. They were very patient with my curious 8 year old.
