|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|

We had a blast catching halibut and cod all morning. As soon as the bait hit bottom there was a hit, and FISH ON! We probably caught 100 fish between the six of us. But the real high point of my trip was the BIG ONE I pulled in! A 54" halibut! It was obvious from the beginning it was going to be large, but she was amazing! 😁 What a catch! Great day! Zach and Lars were kept very busy, and they handled it wonderfully. Great crew. Thank you.
Majestic mountains lined the water’s edge like old white whiskered men surveying the horizon. The ‘Grey Lady’, urged on by the skill of Captain Forrest, cut easily through the chop as Ben readied the lines for the day’s catch. Great day today! Caught cod and halibut on jigging from the very first drop, Pulling two cod at a time, my arms got sore after three or four drops! Seventeen fish and could easily have caught more but I didn’t want to be greedy. Homer Fish met us at the dock and my fish will soon be flying eastward. Great experience, great friendly and knowledgeable crew (congratulate Ben in getting his Captain’s license), highly recommend.
Forrest, Marcus and the Grey Lady did a phenomenal job at making our fishing charter a great time. These guys really know what they are doing and seem to have a ton of experience. We caught plenty of fish and were able to succesfully target every species they wanted to catch (cod, rockfish, king salmon and more) on our charter and the crew were very friendly and easy to talk to and showed/taught us how to do everything. The boat was very impressive in both capabilities, cleanliness and comfort. On a cold rainy day we were able to be kept dry and warm in the covered/heated cabin. 10 out of 10 would recommend these guys to ANYONE who is inexperienced or expert level at fishing, they will find the fish!
There were 5 adults from our family on this adventure, 3 anglers and 2 non anglers and we all had a remarkable time! the weather was perfect! We were out 5 hours and caught Cod, Halibut, and 1 GIANT Salmon! Dramamine was helpful for some of us. Forrest and Ben were SO nice! They were also very knowledgeable, helpful, and organized! When my son & Forrest reeled in the Salmon and we all saw the size, everyone was screaming & cheering!! It was an amazing experience! Thank You!
If you're looking for a great fishing experience in Homer...look no further! Forrest and his crew put us on the fish all day long and were super friendly. We couldn't have asked for a better outfit to fish with!
Homer, Alaska, United States
Fishing has been a part of Capt. Forrest's life ever since he could walk. He grew up near the coast of North Carolina but everything changed after his father took him to Alaska, where he had a fishing adventure of a lifetime. After that trip, Capt. Forrest decided to pursue his passion and moved here with the intention to become a professional angler. At first, he worked for other outfitters during summer and did commercial crabbing during winter. Seven years later, he has his own charter and loves to share his knowledge with other people. Forrest has 3 boats now. Black Pearl, Blue Fox and Gray Lady! Capt Marcus runs the Black Pearl. Capt Zach runs the Blue Fox and Forrest runs the Gray Lady. All 3 are top notch, hard working and fun captains ready to put you on fish and show you a great time!
