Today’s outing off Vancouver Island was memorable: we successfully landed an 80 cm Chinook salmon, nearly boated two other potential catches that escaped just before they breached the surface, and encountered a bounty of crabs—most of which we ethically released due to regulations and conservation concerns. Huge thanks to our captain for keeping us on the fish and making the day a blast—couldn’t have asked for a better guide!

Fishing with Josh was just the hands on experience we were looking for. The last thing we wanted was to be packed on a boat with a bunch of people we didn’t know. When you book with Josh, you book the boat. Josh was a great capitan and provided us with a hands on experience which is what we wanted. By the end of the trip, we had caught 1 x 80cm king salmon, 1 wild coho (which we released due to restrictions at the time) and a bunch of dungeness crabs.
