    Awsome Trip

    4 Hour–Offshore Bottom Fishing AM - 7:00 AM • 5 adults • 2 children

Max got us on fish and we had a blast. He was very knowledgeable and knew what he was doing. Great with kids. We took our 9 and 3 year old and he was patient with them. We caught vermilion snapper and grouper that we were able to keep along with red snapper that were out of season. Highly recommend.

Great Time With The Whole Family

    4 Hour–Offshore Bottom Fishing AM • 6 adults • 4 children

We had a great time with Captain Max. We kept him busy re-baiting the lines as we pulled fish out of the water the whole time. Everyone had a great time from our 4 year old to our 10 year old. At the end he cleaned the fish on the dock and we left with our ice chest full. Would definitely book again.

    Thanks Chris!

    Great fishing trip!

    4 Hour-Offshore Bottom Fishing PM • 4 adults • 2 children

Captain Max was fantastic! We took our 14 year old for his birthday and he had a blast! Max put us on the fish and moved when needed. He was great with both of our kids and even had our 7 year old fishing all by his self! We would definitely recommend Max to anyone wanting to go off shore fishing and we are planning to go with him again this summer!

    Reported catch:
    Vermilion Snapper
    Response from Captain

Thanks guys, had a great time!

What's biting with Redwater Guide Company in Panama City Beach

It's hard to resist the last bite of Red Snapper on weekends, but there's much more to fishing. Make the most of the last of the offshore season to land Mahi and Grouper, while Flounder is the flavor of the month inshore.

March

Mar 3, 2025 • Panama City Beach
It is the first week of March which means that spring has sprung here in the panhandle of Florida. We’ve nearly seen our last cold front of the year, the days are getting longer, and the water is slowing starting to warm back up from the low 60s and even high 50s. March 1st marks the opener of Triggerfish within our offshore fishery, but that doesn’t mean that’s the only species we’re targeting. Vermilion Snapper, aka Beeliners or Mingos, Red Grouper, and Scamp Grouper are a few others that we typically target this time of year. That doesn’t mean we won’t hook a few Red Snapper or Amberjack in the process. Another species worth noting this time of year is Spanish Mackerel. As water temps start to get into the high 60s and low 70s, Spanish Mackerel start to show up in large numbers on the beach and just inside the mouth of the bay. If you see a bunch of boats doing donuts around one another this month, fall in line. Trolling Clark spoons and Mackerel Trees are your best bet.

It is the first week of March which means that spring has sprung here in the panhandle of Florida. We’ve nearly seen our last cold front of the year, the days are getting longer, and the water is slowing starting to warm back up from the low 60s and even high 50s. As for our inshore pursuits, warmer temps means we should start to see Redfish start to occupy the flats earlier and later in the day and simultaneously start to eat more aggressively. As the spring progresses, you can expect me to start transitioning from small, soft plastics on jig heads to more swim baits and my personal favorite, topwater plugs. Trout should start following similar patterns as well, although you will still find me fishing in the warmer creeks for another month or so. Another species worth noting this time of year is Spanish Mackerel. As water temps start to get into the high 60s and low 70s, Spanish Mackerel start to show up in large numbers on the beach and just inside the mouth of the bay.
